Construction of Qatar’s First Rail System (Doha Integrated Metro Rail Project - Gold line Metro Underground) spread across the capital as part of the infrastructure development for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.
Role & Responsibility
•Be aware of the projects Health and Safety Plan, Construction Methods, Quality policies and Safety requirements relevant to the individual’s specific area responsibility.
•Ensure the understanding, implementation and maintenance of quality and safety systems at all levels.
•Inspect Subcontractors activities performed on site according to method statements, ITPs and Quality Control procedures.
•Inspecting each and every element of works in accordance with the applicable ITP and method statement.
•Estimating the quantities required for the next week & next month and informing to the stores.
•Prepare daily/ monthly progress report and submit to H.O.
•Incorporate health and safety instructions into routine orders, and ensure that the operations are not required or permitted to take unnecessary risks or shortcuts.
•Supervising all construction activities including providing technical inputs for methodologies of construction & coordination with site management activities.
•Ensuring adequate safety standard and make safety review from time to time.
•Implementation of QA / QC procedures and checks as per Project Quality Plan and carrying out internal audits to ensure adherence to Quality and Safety norms across the entire course of project execution.
•Coordinating with Main Contractors, monitor their performance in view of project schedule. Settle all techno-commercial disputes / clarifications during execution of project
Construction of Hyderabad metro rail project worth INR 20000 crores at Hyderabad consisting of 66 stations, 3 train depots spread across 76kms around the city.
Role & Responsibility
•Be aware of the projects Health and Safety Plan, Construction Methods, Quality policies and Safety requirements relevant to the individual’s specific area responsibility.
•Liaising with Employer’s and PMC’s Inspectors and inviting them (via Request for Inspection) of the forthcoming inspections where their presence is required.
•Inspect all work areas under control including those of the Sub-contractors and ensure that the health and safety aspects are carried out in accordance to the company’s safety policy and procedures.
•Co-ordination with the Project Manager on current issues of concern and potential future problems resulting in reprogramming as necessary to overcome them.
•Headway knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
•Resources planning based on the Schedule and Requirements of the site.
•Ensure that the documentation generated by the inspections, tests and surveys meets the requirements of the plan.
•Coordinate between head office and site on IMS related matters.
•Inspect Sub-contractors activities performed on site according to Method Statements, ITP’s and Quality Control procedures.
•Respond to the recommendations of the Safety Manager and Safety Personnel immediately.
•Material planning and proper storage and reconciliation of various materials.
•Studying drawings and planning the day’s work.
•Preparation of progress reports, man power, plant and machinery requirement.
