QC Functions in Civil & Constructions:
• Lead the team of QA/QC Inspectors in the inspection of Civil, Structural, Survey, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing/Piping & Firefighting services for the whole project.
• Coordinate with Construction Team about assuring the quality in site work.
• Coordinate to all responsible department/discipline to close all open JSI’s & NCR’s.
• Review and check all related documents like drawings, specification, submittals, WIR, MIR, NCR, JSI to maintain good quality at site.
• To be responsible for the Field Quality Control for the Construction works with respect to the quality requirements for Concrete, Soil Investigation and Compaction Requirements, quality assurance and compliance for the materials used on site.
• To be responsible for the Site Laboratory and ensure the efficient working of the same.
• Carry out tests as per project laboratory plan, ensure that test reports are prepared, circulated as required, properly filed and logged.
• To ensure that the required sampling and testing instruments for work at site are available at place and regularly maintained and calibrated.
• To arrange and keep copy of the required reference codes for material testing at site and for result evaluation to the specified limits and tolerances.
• To ensure that all works are executed in accordance with the specifications and
Approved materials.
• Preparation and review of quality control documentation such as Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements specific to individual projects.
• Coordinate with safety and Quality control to execute work safely and as per Client standards and specifications.
• Monitor and report on compliance and non-conformities and maintain relevant records.
• Promotes Quality Awareness among project team members, contractors and vendors.
• Developing and maintaining QA/QC lessons learned register.

Selection & Approval of Materials:

• Prepare and follow material submittals for Client/Project Management approval. Maintain updated records of all material, approvals related to each project, through the material submittal program in tracking schedules.
• Selection of materials such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation as per Contractual Drawings/Specifications/BOQ.
• To be responsible for the checking and testing on the materials for compliance with the Specification and drawings as required in contractual sections.
• Co-ordinate with Suppliers/Sub-contractors to carryout tests and obtains approvals for their respective Construction Materials e.g. concrete, reinforcement, asphalt, soil & pipe.
• Supplier & subcontractor pre-qualification, vendor shop inspections and factory acceptance tests as required by the contractual specification.
• Inspection and verifying quality of materials and make sure approved materials only using to execute the work.
• Analyzing product failure data and laboratory test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
• Worked with Sub-contractors, Client’s Engineers and Project Management Contractor’s site representatives.
• Monitoring material performance and evaluate material deterioration.
• Conducting field sampling, testing, and non-destructive testing.
• Writing and reviewing technical reports.
• Conducting research to develop custom tests to meet Clients’ expectations.
• Training and mentoring Senior Lab and Site technicians.
• Ensuring the adherence to the desired technical standards, and staying up to date with new technologies and developments.
• Managing relationships with Clients.
• Prepare Materials tracking schedule, Material Inspection Report and Monthly Materials Report and submit to the Project Manager.

Quality Audit:
• Conduct and/or participate in Company Quality or Technical compliance audits for Contractor, Sub-Contractor or Vendors.
• Management Reviews and prepare the annual QMS report for the group of companies.

Developing New Procedures:
• Preparation and review of quality control documentation such as Administrative Work Instruction, Department Work Instruction & Technical Work Instruction.
• Customer Satisfaction Analysis and report to the management with suggestions for improvement.

Vendor Shop Inspection of Pipes & Coatings:
• Responsible for inspection of whole plant activity Like Casting, Machining, Cement Mortar Lining, Coating & QA/QC for Ductile Iron Pipe, Fittings and Accessories.
• Witnessing of Chemical Analysis, mechanical test as Tensile Test, Flattening Test, Hardness Test (Brinell), Charpy Impact Test, Twist Test, Micro/Macro Structure Examination, Holiday Test and Adhesion Test.
• Witnessing Hydro test, Dimensional Inspection of Pipes and Fittings as per BS10E, ISO 7005 PN10, 16, 25 & 40.
• Inspection of CML Surface quality and Lining thickness as per standard ISO 4179 or AWWA C104 or Customer specification.
• Inspection of Compression and Bending strength of Cement Lining inspection of shot blasted surface of pipes and fittings as per ISO 8501-1 Level SA 2.5
• Inspection of Coated surface of Pipes and Fittings and to check the mass of zinc coating.
• To check Dry Film Thickness of Zinc, Zinc rich as per ISO 8179-1 and ISO 8179-2 and Aluminum Bituminous, Black seal coating, Polyurethane, Fusion Bonded Epoxy and Red Epoxy.

QA/QC in Piping:
• Verification of raw material with respect to Mill Test Certificate.
• Preparation and documentation of first day Manufacturing Procedure Qualification Test (MPQT) report. Visual and dimensional inspection of plates & Pipes.
• Preparation and documentation of QAP, MPS, Testing Reports, MTC, process chart, sample planning/identification report, Pipe Annexure and Work instruction, procedure and formats.

Welding & NDT:
• Preparation of WPS and PQR for Auto SAW, SMAW, GMAW as per international standards.
• Raw material such as steel plates, welding consumables as per API 5L and ASME Section 2C.
• Monitoring and supervising of welding process and all NDT activities.
• Optimization of welding parameters such as heat input, selection of electrode and fluxes to achieve desired excellent mechanical as well as corrosion properties.
• Maintain the Rework/Repair Analysis for Quality control of the product.
• Metallurgical evaluation of welding pipes and failure investigations using SEM with EDAX, XRD, etc.
