ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitoring and troubleshooting linux and windows servers using solaris tool.
2. Monitoring MySQL and oracle databases.
Analysing databases according to the client requirements.
3. Analyzing issues in audience measurement system.
4. creating web and excel dashboards according to the customer needs.
5. Creating tickets (in jira ticketing tool) appropriately for all issues.
6.Coordinating with global MSOs customers(sudden link, AT&T, etc., ).
7. Rectifying issues on CPEs like set top boxes, Tivo box and sling box, etc.,
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Satellite uplink part:
1. Installation and maintenance of different sizes(18 mtere, 9 meter, 16 feet etc., ) and types(mesh, solid .etc., ) of Antennas.
2. Configuration & Maintenance of different Type of TV Multiplexers (Scopus IVG-7300, IVG-7100 & Harmonic).
3. Configuration & Maintenance of different Type of DVB-S / S2 modulators(RADYNE).
4.Configuration & Maintenance of NEC make UP/DOWN Converters and HPAs.
5. Hands on experience on earth station RF measurement instruments spectrum analyzer, Promax, power meter, etc.,
6.Coordinating with INTELSAT while benchmarking the uplink carriers (MCPC carriers) or power adjustment in HPA and modulator during rainy season.
Downlink part:
1. Downlinking TV channels from more than 16 satellites.
2. Installation and maintenance of CDN (content delivery network) and IPTV (Ditto TV) circuits.
3. Transcoding of channels into different profiles(various bitrates and resolution) with RTMP output and pushing it to CDN WOWZA servers.
4. Down linking of TV channels and converting them into IP packets and pushing them to CDN WOWZA server using various encoding applications such as BG(Bit Gravity)/FMLE(Adobe) or transcoders, such as Envivio.
5. Providing CMS(carrier monitoring service) for SES-7, 8, 9 and NSS-11&12 satellites.
6. Sub netting and configuring VLANs for earth station devices in Cisco Switches.
7. Handling L1 and L2 level network issues in earth station.
8. Coordination with National and international teams during network issue.
9. Managing equipments Faults and escalation to resolve it.
10. Maintain production problem/issues log - on a daily basis a detailed log of any production related issues and incidents including their causes & resolutions.
11. Configuration & Maintenance of different Type of MPEG 2/4 decoders & Encoders (envivio, harmonics, Ericsson, cisco, etc., ).
12. Configuration & Maintenance of different Type of TV Multiplexers (Scopus IVG-7300, IVG-7100 & Harmonic).
13. Delivering CDN network support for major customer like NDTV and Zee group (Ditto TV).
14. Reports for Teleport Operation: Outage Report and Action Taken Report preparation for service affected customer and Weekly Operational Report, Monthly Up time report for Teleport Operation.
Fiber network part:
1. Downlinking video content from the different satellites (Intelsat-17, asiasat-5, Intelsat-20, etc., ) delivering to the worldwide customers through our global fiber network.
2. Steaming media content in STM-1, STM-4, STM-16 & STM-64 format to our global customers by using Nimbra 360, 380, 680.
3. Monitoring our global fiber network using NMS (Nimbra vision) system and perform escalation process.
4. Coordinating with TX SOC and RCO team (cables and systems) during fiber cut.
