Role
Managing Overall Operations of the Business which includes: • Implement Food Safety Program
• Implement and monitor the company Food Safety Occupational Health & Safety Policy
• Train staff to comply with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements including
storage, labelling and food preparation
• Handle and resolve cross cultural staff conflicts
• Train and develop the team to deliver food to specification to meet company and customer standards and expectations including dealing with poor performance
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established food
safety standards.
•Ensure adequate resource planning and effective recruitment of kitchen team members.
•Set and review departmental objectives and provide performance feedback through appraisal process and job chats.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices among staff
members
• Plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities to ensure the stock
level is able to meet the demand of customers and other retail stores.
•Conduct Internal Audits within the retail outlets which is part of the HLD Group
•Liaise with external stake holders, owners of the business and Brisbane City Council to ensure that all new retail outlets that are about to open meets the legislative requirements to secure a Food License which are issued by the Council.

Purpose

• Investigation of food complaints
• Investigation of disease outbreaks as part of in multi-disciplinary team
• Investigation of tobacco complaints and communication of findings with senior officers
• Undertaking food recalls
• Undertaking Water quality testing with senior officers
• investigation of tobacco sale to minors complaint and other tobacco complaints involving smoking in enclosed places
