PROJECT 'wells construction and infrastructure':
Function of PM within the scope of construction part of project (construction subproject) and infrastructure;
Ownership of the assigned business-processes: construction and civil / structural / field engineering (including all related survey and design);
Finance management and planning including: budget estimate, finance planning, strategic and tactical scheduling (with budget control), risks evaluation and mitigation plans development;
Execution of all activities relating to tenders organization, such as ITB preparation, bids evaluation and results presentation to professional boards (internal and external);
Management of the execution of construction, engineering (including survey) and commissioning activities, during all project life cycle;
Work with claims and disputes resolution.
LARGE CAPITAL PROJECTS with CAPEX more than $100m:
Corporate functional management for the areas: construction, CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and engineering survey;
Functional support of the projects by the management of construction and of CSA engineering;
Role of top technical authority Company-wide in related functional areas of the projects across the world executed by Company: making and approval of key technical decision, facilitation of value improvement practices (such as Value Engineering, HAZID / HAZOP, 3D Model and Buildability / Constructability review workshops), implementation of the standards and methodologies (with development of missed one);
Ensure of the expert review and technical audit of the works execution, monitoring and control;
Lessons Learned and Best Practices collection for corporate database, project demands foreseen;
Post start-up performance verification and troubleshooting of new facilities during the early stage of operation;
Technical capabilities appraisal of the subordinate specialists and implementation of the required training programs.
Role of CSA discipline head (Contractor’s side);
Technical liaison between UK office & Client & Subcontractors; Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate programs of assigned engineering works; Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests and other data to plan and design works; Prepare weekly / ad hoc summary reports on critical activities & areas of concern.
Supervision in construction site to collect, generate and analyze design and engineering data; Coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel on a regular basis; Attend and participate in clients, subcontractors and vendors meetings; Onsite and offsite engineering support.
Review and evaluate vendor bids, analyze and make recommendations; Use engineering and design computer software applied in the company to complete assigned works; Establish list of documentation deliverables; Maintain awareness of client, vendor and subcontractor documentation requirements.
Conduct the studies, front-end detailed engineering (FEED) and procurement projects; Ensure the technical design integrity; Custodian of the architectural, plot plan and survey functional areas; Development of the specifications and guidelines; Initiate and coordinate the follow-up on outstanding items identified at weekly engineering leads meetings, ensure clarity and timely resolution of issues; Interface with other disciplines in the execution of projects.
Role of CSA ENGINEERING MANAGER (Consultant’s / Designer’s side).
Full range of onshore and offshore Engineering: Initial data analysis and problem definition; Evaluation a required methods and software for design; Other disciplines input coordination and interfaces; Engineering support for the subordinates and for the rest of the project team; Feasibility and constructability study; Identify and approve the discipline documents for MDR (master documents register) and scheduling of their issuance; Interdisciplinary intelligent check of the design (IDC) and quality control; Ensure the design fits to purpose; Technical, contractual and procurement documents review; Control of the compliance to the contract and specifications requirements; Construction supervision and instant assistance in engineering issues; Maintenance and defence of the projects in the technical boards (internal and external).
Management: Project team directing; Manpower allocation and coordination; Coordination among the multinational partners and colleagues; Reporting on progress to the head office on regular basis.
Before 2006: CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER:
Full range of Engineering and Structural Design: Development of a bearing system concept (conceptual design); Analysis of the geotechnical reports and determination of the foundations type; Elaboration of the untypical parts in the structure: high-rise and large-span structures, composite materials etc.; Design specifications on offsite construction and prefabricated structures with pre- and post- stressed reinforcement or cables; Supervision at the construction site, consulting, data gathering, field engineering etc.
Calculations and Analysis (offshore and onshore): Estimation of the complex loads, actions and loading cases on the structures; Development of the calculation model concept (boundary conditions, connections, loading etc); Final Elements Method implementation for computational analysis; Analysis of the structures on dynamics, seismic, accidental loads, wind pulse; Non-linear analysis of the structures in complex stress-strain conditions; Hand calculations according to International and local standards and codes, conventional strength of materials approach.
Documentation and Drawings: Formwork and reinforcement drawings development according to International and local codes and standards; Development of the presentation and technical reports with different languages writing.
PART-TIME JOB:
Drafting (CAD/CAM/CAE technician) and quantity surveying.
Structural analysis by Finite Elements Method with aid SCAD program; Static calculations for Ultimate and Serviceability Limit States; Formwork and reinforcement drawings, bills of quantity, bar-bending schedules. Key project: Philip Morris Plant Facilities, Client Philip Morris International Inc.; Research project on an introduction the technology of the drilling piles using an electropulse discharge during the pile constructing.
