Worked as teacher in a small nursery. Taught children between the ages of 8 months to 24 months and was completely responsible for all aspects of care as I was often working on my own. Planned activities for the children intertwining it with basic learning and wrote monthly reports on progress.
Valley Trading Post is a general store. Worked as a sales assistant reporting directly to the owner/manager. In this position was trusted by the owner/manager and frequently ran the store in their absence. This included opening and closing - both physical and financial, managing stock levels and reordering, and dealing with all customers.
One of a team of guides. My outgoing nature, interest and understanding of history made me a natural choice to work ‘front of house’ from the beginning. Worked in all the public areas of Bath’s historic Roman Baths Museum, patrolling the exhibit areas, assisting visitors and working on the front desk where responsibilities included dealing with enquiries, answering the telephone and receiving deliveries.
Involved in teaching a class of children between the ages of 6 - 10 in a variety of subjects such as Geography and History. Assisted the teacher in making sure that all the children understood the work they had been set and helped with any problems they might have with their tasks; was responsible for the children’s general wellbeing.
Provided administrative support to the eight people working in the office of the Estate Agents. Performed duties such as filing for all employees, answering the telephone and sending emails out to clients.
Worked as a sales assistant dealing with all customers and working on the shop floor. Sorted and categorised items donated to the charity shop; was responsible for deciding what stock went out onto the shop floor; and for pricing them.
Responsible for coaching a group of 15 to 20 children aged 8-13. As well as teaching tennis techniques, provided general care for the group.
