-Water Solutions Lanka (Pvt) Ltd partners with Sri Lanka’s leading FMCG corporations, including Coca-Cola and Lion Brewery Sri Lanka, to provide end-to-end water treatment solutions. The company manages the complete project lifecycle—from design and construction to commissioning and long-term management—of industrial water & wastewater treatment plants, filtration systems, and bottling facilities, supported by automation and hydro drilling and ground water exploration technologies.-

Project Leadership & Delivery: Successfully managed the full project scope—from process/plant design through to automation, electrical, and commissioning—for major water treatment installations. Key projects include designing and delivering a PLC/HMI-controlled sand filter system for Lion Brewery Sri Lanka and a wastewater DAF system for a leading poultry farm in Sri Lanka.

PLC System Design & Programming: Architected, programmed, and deployed complete PLC and relay-based control systems for industrial filtration, backwash, and safety sequences. Hands-on experience with Siemens S7-1200, S7-200, and S7-400 series, as well as Xinjie XD5 Series PLCs, including logic development, HMI integration, and on-site debugging.

Process & Plant Design using AutoCAD Plant 3D: Developed detailed P&IDs, control philosophies, piping layouts, and equipment diagrams using AutoCAD Plant 3D, ensuring accurate process visualization and seamless integration between mechanical, electrical, and automation systems from design through to as-built documentation.

Electrical & Control Panel Design: Designed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for various pumping and water treatment systems using AutoCAD Electrical. Produced complete drawing packages for control panel fabrication, component specification, and site installation, supporting the electrical scope of multiple ongoing projects.

Technical Procurement & Sourcing: Manage the technical evaluation, sourcing, and approval of electrical and automation components (Control Valves, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs) from international suppliers for project requirements.

Digital Tool Development: Developed and maintain a company-exclusive Python-based (PyQt) IoT monitoring dashboard that imports and validates field technician data from Excel. The system visualizes key parameters (pH, chlorine) to enable data-driven operational decisions and efficiency tracking.

R&D & Technical Proposal Support: Contribute to internal R&D for control system and water treatment optimization. Assist business development by preparing technical proposals and feasibility studies.

Assisted in PCB design reviews and DFM/DFT analysis, stencil design, and finish specification.

Supported Engineering Change Request (ECR/ECN) documentation and implementation.

Participated in customer communications to clarify technical requirements and project expectations.

Gained exposure to cross-functional NPI workflows and used ERP systems to manage BOMs and product data.

Coordinated machine and manpower allocation based on loading plans to optimize efficiency and meet daily targets using lean principles.

Proposed an automation solution to increase wing bonding output from 280 to 480 pcs/hr, supported by SolidWorks design and animation for stakeholder presentation.

Actively participated in the Line 03 bottle washer installation project by managing tasks and timelines.
