Responsibilities as an Accountant:-
1.Assist with month-end and year-end closing accounting entries and reports.
2.Reconciling petty cash and other expenses.
3.Preparing outstanding statement of accounts for Insurance/Re-Insurance Co.
4.Preparing general ledger entry including accruals and prepayments.
5.Assisting internal/external auditors with queries.
6.Performs cash management duties including wire transfers
7.Prepares quarterly Employee’s Indemnities and Leave salary report for closings
8.Reviews accounts payable including invoices, contracts vouchers for accuracy, ensures timely
payments of Reinsurance premium
9. Prepares Debtor and Creditor reconciliations
10.Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
11.Produce timely Gross/Net Premiums report
12.Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
13.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
14.Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
15.Prepares Monthly Production Report and tally it wit Reinsurance Dept’s report
16.Generates quarterly R/I Treaties of all classes
(Fire, Miscellaneous Accident, Marine&Engineering) with Reinsurance Dept’s report and ensures timely payment of the same to Reinsurance companies
17.Calculating yearly Profit Commission for Reinsurance companies
18.Prepares report for Motor & Whole A/C Excess of Loss Premiums Adjustment and Claims for Reinsurance Companies
19.Preparing Quarterly Outstanding Claims Report of all classes.
20.Calculating Yearly Closing Entries (Unexpired Reserve)
21.Assist CFO in budgeting and planning process
22.Examination and analysis of the journal entries and ledgers, bank statements, inventories, expenditures and other accounting and financial records to ensure financial recording accuracy and compliance with the local and international standard.
23.Handling Corporate Customers Statements
24.Handling all Bank Accounts and Fixed Deposits
25.Prepares Bank Confirmations for External Audit.

Responsibilities as an as Credit control officer:-
1. Opening of new debtor account in line with credit policy
2. Ensure the company has all the relevant information on the client
3• Keep a record of all communication with the customer, which will be needed when there are payment problems and the account becomes legal, client records will be needed for court proceedings
4• Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtors problems.
5• Ensuring customers pay on time
6• Maintaining thorough, well organized accounts receivable customer files by scanning documents into share folder by sorting and filing by company name.
7• Reviews accounts receivables customer transactions and ensure that all invoices are paid accurately on time in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
8• Collect outstanding debtor balances in accordance with agreed payment terms.
9• Monitoring all customer accounts time to time and update new information.
10• Block services for customers with overdue balance and provides reports to management about overdue accounts.
