Recording general ledger accounts by creating journal entries (income, expenses, debit & credit notes, prepayments,
provisions, accruals & deferred income)
Maintaining and reconciling accounts (supplier, customer and intercompany) as well as preparing reports
Establishing internal control disciplines towards maintaining integrity and accuracy of financial reports
Driving teams to ensure timely preparation and maintenance of all necessary records of payables & receivables, income
& expenses, general ledger, profit & loss, balance sheet accounts, and document business transactions
Evaluating possible reasons for variation in reconciliation reports
Directing a team of talented individuals; creating a work environment that engages employees at all levels of business
to help improve processes & quality, and reduce cost of ownership
Summarizing current financial status by collecting information and preparing reports; bringing about improvements in
reporting of monthly profitability statements, accounting procedures
Formulating and maintaining adequate internal control system; defining potential weak areas and assisting management
through cash flow analysis and cost control
Initiating supplier payments on timely basis after the verifications of PO and Invoices, keeping in mind the credit period
and cash flow position
Calculating end of service benefits for terminated employees, ensuring compliance with the local labour laws
Executing payments to the employees on the agreed pay date on the basis of approved payroll reports
Advising on tax treatments for various VAT related matters; managing the reconciliation of VAT balances as per the
books of accounts and VAT returns
Ensuring seamless execution of accounting operations as per IFRS compliance and maintaining proper discipline by
implementing and modifying the policies
