He has been a part of execution team performing following responsibilities:
· Developing comprehensive audit plans based on risk assessments, business objectives, and determining the scope, objectives, and methodologies for each audit assignment.
· Review of organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
· Performed operations and financial audit of various functional departments with a focus on determining the adequacy and effectiveness of key operating policies and procedures, identifying, and evaluating business risk, identifying process improvements, and developing recommendations thereof.
· Conducted special assignments including Fraud Investigations at Management’s Request.
· Tracking the implementation of audit recommendations and ensuring timely resolution of identified issues. Perform post-audit follow-up to assess the adequacy of corrective actions taken by management.
Achievements:
· Identified an instance of cash embezzlement of AED 167K by a Leasing Team employee.
· Highlighted counterfeit project contracting vendors and unauthorized payment of AED 46K.
The scope of work was:
· Preparing/auditing of financial statement.
· Planning of audit engagement of companies and other entities.
· Understanding and assessing the internal control and operations.
· Identifying risk in various functional processes of different companies.
· Ensuring compliance with the reporting and disclosure requirements such as IFRS, VAT, and ESR.
The scope of work was:
· Walkthroughs to gain existing process understanding and assessing the internal control environment.
· Identify risks inherent to the processes and corresponding controls.
· Sampled transactions review and data analysis to validate process understanding.
· Test effectiveness of existing controls and identify control / efficiency gaps for risk mitigation.
· Discuss and agree on recommendations with the process owners to address control / efficiency gaps in addressing key risks.
Achievements:
· Identified instances of labor time-sheet manipulation and the presence of ghost employees, leading to unwarranted disbursement of wages, channeled to the personal account of a subcontractor.
· Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and assisting clients in compliance with provisions of Company Law, Direct & Indirect Taxes, and other related Enactments.
