M.Pharmacy Research Project: “Synthesis and Antimicrobial activity of Substituted Coumarinyl Pyrimidine Derivatives” Project mainly involves synthesis of new derivatives of coumarin moiety and confirm their structures by IR, 1H NMR, Mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Antimicrobial activity of synthesized compounds carried out by measuring the Zone of Inhibition and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration by using gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Some of the synthesized derivatives showed good antibacterial activity. Research project was carried out at K.L.E.S. College of Pharmacy, Hubli-31, Karnataka.
