Identification of Materials required from the Contract Specifications

Identification of sources and supplier for the materials

Collection and review of material data and other legal informations to make ready for submission

Preparation of submittal for materials and follow up for approval of the same.

Arranging for inspection and acceptance of the material delivered to site

Carry out necessary testing through independent agencies

Establishment and running the project laboratory

Preparation of project laboratory manual and Test plan as per specifications

Ensuring the implementation of test plan and review the test reports before submission to client.

Coordinating with site exe ution team and the approved RMC plants on daily basis for the smooth supply of concrete as required.

• Responsible to organize, implement, conduct, and manage the QA/QC Programs as per the company’s Quality policy and contract specification requirements of the Projects/Division.
• To co-ordinate the document controls of technical submittals, drawings etc. with Project team and to ensure the QA/QC validation have been done, to ensure the issue, amendment and recall of controlled documents.
• Liaise with Client’s representative for the conduct of day-to-day Quality related activities of the project.
• Shall co-ordinate with the Project Manager/Site Agent regarding work performance and shall have the authority to stop in any area where discrepancies remain uncorrected, and shall cancel the stop work order or Non-Conformance Reports upon satisfactory correction of noted deficiencies.
• Report to the QA/QC Manager (H.O) on the performance of the IMS in the Projects and any need for improvement.
• Provide technical support to the Project Manager and necessary guidance to site staff in submission of material for approvals, inspection requests, shop drawings, preparation of Project Quality Plans, Schedules, As built drawings, O&M Manual, prepare & update quality records, drawing control and to set up Company’s established integrated management system in the Project.
• Assist QA/QC Manager in conducting internal quality audits as per the Annual Audit Plan as and when required.
• Analyze deviation, change of contract scope or delay, if required reschedule to meet target dates in co-ordination with Project Manager.
• To ensure that Non Conformance Report (NCR) are raised once the activities are deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices.
• Attend Monthly Project Review Meetings (PRM), discuss the agenda items in detail and to make the project team aware of the importance of recognizing potential problems and action them before they become critical.
• Reviewing completed procedures to verify compliance with specified contract requirements for format and contents.
• Regularly and at intervals agreed with the PM and QA/QC Manager, audit the project quality management system and review the Project Management Manual.

As QA/QC Engineer:

• Implementing the IMS Procedures at site
• Carrying out the Internal assessment in the projects ahead of Internal IMS Audits
• Carrying out Internal IMS audits in other projects/Departments as an Internal Auditor
• Carrying out site inspections of all the activities to confirm the compliance to the contract specifications, drawings and the internal system requirements if any.
• Ensuring the completeness of the Request for Inspection and completion of the activities ahead of forwarding the requests to consultants/clients to ensure no rejection of the RFIs.
• Identifying and raising of the customer complaints from the correspondences and to raise the Non performance report against the suppliers when the conditions are not complied.
• Issuing NCRs wherever necessary and following up with the recipients of NCRs for the closure of the same.

As Material Engineer:

• Identification of materials from the specifications and preparing the Material tracking schedule in line with the CPM Programme.
• Identification of the suppliers for the material in consultation with the Procurement Department and the Project management.
• Arranging Material submittal from the selected supplier and forwarding to the client/consultant for approval after ensuring the compliance to the specification requirements.
• Following up with the client/consultant and the supplier whenever required to get the approval of the materials.
• Preparation and maintaining of the material submittal log
• Act as a link between the project team and the suppliers till all the requirements are understood clearly.
• Carrying out material Inspection on receipt of the approved material at site to ensure the correctness with the approved material and Preparation of the Material Inspection request to forward to the client/consultant and to follow up to get the approval and permission to use.
• Preparation and maintaining of the Material Inspection request log.

In charge for the site establishment works and the QA/QC section of the project and reporting to Project Director:
Identifying the availability of required machines and man power at other sites and arranging to mobilize the machineries
and manpower to sit
Establishment of the site infrastructure : constructing the required buildings, Erection of the batching plant, arranging the accommodation facilities for the Managers and engineers etc.
Identification of the suppliers and the sub contractors for specialized works
Preparation of the procurement plan in accordance to the Plan of execution
Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan and quality records for the project
Carrying out the Mix proportion Trials and to get approval for the designed Mix Proportion; selection of sources of materials and getting approvals of the same to client.
Leading the QA/QC team to ensure that the quality system is being meticulously followed and documentation of the entire project activities;
Preparation of the Method statements, Non compliance reports and complying the NCRs raised by the clients;
Coordinating with the clients to get necessary clearance for day to day works to be executed at site.
Handling all Engineering related issues in the site

In charge for QA/QC section of the project and reporting to Project Director. To control of materials, carrying out Mix Design, Identification of Potential Quarry and suppliers, production of concrete and includes Preparation of Quality system Documents. Day to day works schedule, maintaining batching plants with assessing requirements of necessary materials. Documentation works and maintaining of documents and attending review meetings with consultants; Assisted in submission of necessary documents for completion certificate.
Completed the construction of buildings such as administration building (2 floors), Workshop building and Electrical building(2 Nos.) and the access control buildings to the total tune of 6000 sq.m carpet area as per the drawings to the satisfaction of the consultant’s representatives.

Incharge for Billing and Laboratory. Calculation of Quantities for billing, Preparation of RA Bills, preparation of Level sheets, Carrying out all necessary material Testing, Formulating Job mixes for WMM, DBM and BC. Inspection on regular basis to feed back with site staff regard advance works. Daily basis Verifying the completeness and quality of structural works and external works Culverts and Drains.

Handling subjects to students of various semesters, Act as Tutor and Godfather for students, Act as a NSS Programme officer, Represents the Building section of the Trust, Conducted Land survey works for the trusts at various locations, Etc

Execution of site works and reporting to Project Manager. Pile foundation, Bar bending schedule preparation, Procurement of Aggregates, Arrangement of labourers and Managing them, Preparing the subgrade, Providing WBM, DBM and MSS for Approach roads of approximately 1.0 KM.
