• Leading a team of recruitment professionals, including headhunting for critical roles as and when required.
• Manage and guide recruitment team consisting of Recruitment Specialists and Recruitment Coordinators in meeting recruitment targets by closely following up on active vacancies, having optimal recruitment strategy in place to ensure quality and timely closure of position
• Supporting recruitment for industries like Ship Building / Ship Repair, Maritime Transportation / Shipping, Logistics, Hospitality, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, IT/ICT etc.
• Responsible for developing, driving, and executing on the recruitment strategies.
• Interact and build successful relationships with key business leaders and serve as a primary source of recruitment strategy, consultation, and education
• To ensure understanding of clients workforce requirements in order to attract the right talents.
• Create innovative sourcing strategies to ensure effective talent acquisition are met as per clients expectations by sourcing high quality candidates locally and globally to keep the workforce diverse.
• Compile, analyze and capture recruitment insights from data to support business decisions.
• Responsible for hiring key positions like CXO, Directors and Managers for Msheireb Downtown project which is one of a kind Smart city in the world focused in mixed use assets located in Doha Qatar.
• Responsible for handling the complete recruitment cycle such as resource planning, candidate sourcing, Screening CVs, Scheduling Interviews, Candidate selection, Offer Negotiations, job authorization and new hires’ on-boarding.
• Develop recruitment plan based on the approved manpower plan to ensure the organization consists of a diverse set of qualified employees.
• Work closely with business and hiring manager and identify recruitment needs and timings in-line with the manpower plan.
• Responsible for recruitment of candidates from Middle East, Europe, Asia and African region for multiple projects in Shipyard, Ports, Logistics, Offshore, Warehouse, Shipping, Support functions etc.
• Responsible for Bulk recruitment campaigns for blue collared skilled and non-skilled workers from Bangladesh, India, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
• Responsible for handling the complete recruitment cycle such as resource planning, candidate sourcing, Screening CVs, Scheduling Interviews, Candidate selection, Offer Negotiations, job authorization and new hires’ on-boarding.
• Drive direct sourcing and maintain professional relationships with external sources of recruitment (such as recruitment search firms and other specialized sources) in order to source potential candidates for Milaha vacancies.
• Sourcing candidates using social networking sites like LinkedIn and job portals such as Bayt, Gulf Talent, Naukrigulf etc.
• Ensure consistent application of Milaha competency-based Assessment tools (PI and PLI); provide guidance on interpretation of results, especially as it related to job requirement and comparison of candidates.
• Provide regular updates to hiring manager, recruiting leaders and other stakeholders as may be appropriate on pipeline development and candidate progress.
• Execute on processes to implement hiring plans based on business strategy in consultation with business and recruiting leaders.
• Manage and guide recruitment coordinators (3 Nos) and Recruiter (1 No) in meeting recruitment targets by closely following up on active vacancies, having optimal recruitment strategy in place to ensure quality and timely closure of position.
• Guide recruitment coordinators to ensure effective pre-on-boarding (documentation and immigration stage), and on-boarding of new hires.
• Mentor and train subordinates with the recruitment procedures, sourcing techniques (active/passive), rate/salary negotiations etc.
• Coordinate with compensation & benefits team to prepare potential financial package (and options); review package options with HR BP and Business; discuss and finalize package with candidate.
• Key team member in supporting and coordinating with HRMS team to implement TALEO system from scratch until GO Live period including UAT.
• Support internal and external audits of assigned area of responsibility; lead closure of negative observations, minor/major non compliances.
• Support Manager - Talent Acquisition in maintaining Security Risk Register, Submission to ERM and Updating ERM.
Recruitment
• Recruited more than 300 candidates for both technical and non-technical positions in
Shipyard.
• Planning and execution of international recruitment campaigns.
• This includes sourcing, interviewing, shortlisting, finalizing the offer, issue and renew
employment contracts, organizing medical check-up, joining formalities and induction
process.
• Responsible for all the HR operations of the Business Unit and handle the On-
Boarding procedure of selected candidates.
• Collate manpower requirements from projects and create headcount tracking sheets
post budget approvals for recruitment follow through.
• Administering recruitment process to assist business unit manpower requirements and
the HR specific recruitment requirements in line with the company recruitment policy
using the most cost-effective source possible.
