Lead the Inventory department of two companies with a team of 9 staffs for handling the inventories of 121 stores in the Middle East
Recommending and implementing various strategies across stores to reduce the inventory losses and the cost of inventory operations.
Liaising with various functional departments within the organizations to ensure timely closure for critical observations raised during the audit
Auditing accuracy of stock count through live checks and analysis of stock take reports for all the stores & warehouse
Purchase and sales margin analysis
Credit Note validations based on the brand agreement
Conduct employee orientation meetings and oversaw trainings
Assessing the inventory and stock taking systems & procedures; its strength, weakness and provide recommendations to enhance for being more effective
Ensure that all stores are on procedures and stock movements are timely recorded; accuracy maintained at all times; in terms of receiving the shipment; local transfers; returns to the supplier; bulk corporate sales
Controlling the damages in coordination with Loss & prevention; ensuring the shipment damages are recorded as separate to get claimed from the supplier; damages at store levels are handled separately and the request put forward to L&P; and having a follow up thereafter in case the amount gets claimed from insurance
Monitoring of security Alarm on weekly basis; and providing the detail weekly report to higher management at the same time considering them during physical inventories
Ensure all DC related internal controls; transfers out and in; deliveries; shipments receipts; storage allocation are done on timely basis; and accuracy maintained at all levels
Organize training for field operations personnel’s on routine inventory and stock taking procedures
Ensuring the stock loss database is maintained at all times; providing the merchandise loss report to the management on monthly basis
Consolidating the difference of receiving in the shipments against the debit/credit notes issued by the supplier; validating the data and sending the details to accounting dept
Recommendations on routines inventory procedures; stock takes and its schedules and training and development to existing and newly hired staff.
Coordinating with the sales administrator/customer service and commercials for all movements of goods and stock movement.
Managing the entire warehouse and showroom including overseas EDP operations.
Follow up on all the guidelines put in place by Corporate Office.
Daily sales validation and fixing sales discrepancy.
Adjusting the variance results in the system on approval from the management.
Provide assistance to Showrooms in regard to pricing issues and item discrepancy in the POS machine.
Updating Sales Prices during Sale Period in the ERP application and POS.
Updating stocks in the system.
Item Master updation.
Creating Purchase Orders.
Receiving and validating shipments received by logistics department and forward the same to accounts department.
Checking stock transfers tickets and validate quantity updation.
Generating various reports like; Daily Sales Summary, Stock Movement Report, Stock Availability Report, Sales Analysis Report, Profitability Report, Transfer Listing Report.
Coordinating with Suppliers, Brand Managers, and other Departments; Accounts, Logistics, IT, and EDP.
Checking the Purchase order margins
Purchase Order analysis based forecasts and lead time (safety stocks)
Purchase Order Execution and System Bookings against Receipts.
Inventory Analysis & Management.
Maintaining the existing IT infrastructure.
Handling and controlling complete functions related to accounts payables / debtors.
Handling correspondence related to invoices.
Reviewing of different contractors and sub contractors agreements / purchase orders and keeping track whether expenditures are as per agreements.
Checking invoices, matching with purchase orders / contracts / agreement and reporting on differences.
Devised inventory control system. Maintaining the inventory in a computerized environment by using Navision ERP and Software.
Handling all segments of ‘stock in’ like recording the invoices, checking discrepancy if any and posting the invoices
Handling the stock in and ‘stock out’ for Store and Warehouse from a single platform.
Preparation and sending of orders
Providing reports to Store Manager on daily basis viz. Sales, stock availability, inventory valuation, damages, etc.
Calculating and updating landed cost on new stock arrival.
Coordinating with Logistics Department for port clearance
Arranging the warehouse for the new stock arrival
Maintain the missing parts record as separate account head and spares ordered accordingly.
Coordinating with Sales Department while confirming the stock.
Creating Bin locations in warehouse and making Bin to Bin as per requirement
Action internal handling of goods as per Store Manager’s direction.
Preparing weekly reports for Accounts Manager
Preparing daily sales report for Sales and Store Managers.
