• Supervise construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
• An understanding of the construction business and the ability to work under deadlines.
• Control the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
• Determine the scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines.
• Identifying, analyzing and mitigating all risks that could impact project deliveries within predetermined time and cost.
• Site establishment, planning and site administration by controlling all resources such as labour, procurement of materials, control of site quantity surveyor and project payment, plant and equipment and the liaison between the clients and representative and the contracting office as well as supervision and control of sub-contractors and nominated contractors.
• Negotiate contracts and material costs with architects, vendors, suppliers, contractors and other workers.
• Strong understanding of the tendering process.
• Securing of building permits and licenses and delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.
• Communicate with contractors and other project team members to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
• Proactively identify, manage and resolve problems that arise due to technical drawing and material issues, contractor and project team issues, problems and time delays, weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays.
• Coordinating with Engineering and Construction and liaise with the Client on detail engineering requirements.
• Develop Construction Engineering Technology in line with Company Policy and Procedures.
• Elaborates construction feasibility analysis evaluating the available materials & drawings.
• Raising MTO(s) for all materials required to additional materials for hydro test etc.
• Coordinate schedule, budget and progress measurement functions with project controls teams.
• Coordinate discipline design change notifications and draft client change orders.
• Direct field engineering services from home office and/or field locations.
• Prepare project cost estimates.
• Prepare subcontract plan and subcontractor bid and award packages.
• Prepare turnover and start-up plans.
• Responsible for the implementation and use of in-house and client design and construction specifications.
• Maintain project action item lists and design RFI.
• Perform internal and client design reviews.
• Direct internal progress, status and review meetings: publish meeting minutes.
• Prepare monthly client status reports.
• Carrying out final P&ID check of installed piping systems in the module.
• Preparation of “AS BUILT” drawings.
• Preparation of field piping system test packages, including system limit on P&ID and piping Isometrics
• Responsible for carrying out Mechanical Clearance, Conducting Hydro and Pneumatic tests, fulfilling commissioning and Pre-Commissioning requirements for the project.
• Ensure that all punch list items are resolved; client handover is satisfactorily concluded and that there is no prolongation of project.
• Oversaw the inspection of flanges, types of valves, direction, tag numbers, rating & size.
• Executed the analysis of international design codes & dimensional standards ANSI/ASME, API, BS and ASTM.
• Managed the punch category "A" items, prior to pressure testing.
• Supervised the test package contents, verified that approved isometric drawings attached, P&ID, welding history, NDE summary/coverage, valve list, manifold certificate, pressure safety valve calibration, pressure gauge calibration certificates, check list, support detail drawing, etc.
• Conducted Pressure Test (Hydro, Pneumatic and Service) of the newly installed lines including welding surveillance at site and Fabrication Shop.
• Responsible for the above ground piping erection, fabrication, final line checks, punch list preparation, hydro testing, attend kick-off meeting to understand contractor's action plan and schedule.
• Inspection of newly installed lines as per approved isometrics, review ITP and QCP and verify the lines and supports details as per project specification and prepare punch list, follow-up contractor schedule on day to day basis.
