To plan, schedule and supervise the work activity of Jack Up Barge achieve the objective established by Company and Operations Management in accordance with the time, cost and safety budget set.
Routine Operations:
Manage daily operations on the Barge, look after client interests, including:
Ensure smooth operation
Ensure full compliance with HSE rules
Company-client contract
Ensure wellbeing and moral of crew as a top priority
Ensure that any comments from the client and our crew towards improving operations and client relations are addressed
Encourage and stabilize intercompany and inter crew relationships on the Barge
Ensure that the hygiene issues are maintained to industry standards
Ensure appearance of the vessel is carried out to international standards of excellence
Non Routine Operations:
Manage and plan for Rig moves, rigging, personnel transfer, jacking, skidding, ballasting, preloading, diver survey, location approval, warranty surveyors, sea bed survey, soil data.
Relationship with client and employee:
Address all client requirements in a professional and efficient manner. Ensure that client is always kept informed and is satisfied with company performance. Strive for relationship where both parties seek a ``win-win“ solution to problems that may occur. Prioritize employee welfare, while driving for performance and demanding excellence. Keep a close eye on development potential of my crew and support those who show promise. Keep evaluating his people on a regular basis. A happy crew generally leads to a safe and Efficient operation.
Relationship with Employee And Contractors:
Provide technical advice and prepare technical assessment of responses to tenders for barge required. Recommend solutions and give advice for serious operational problems to prevent recurrence relating to cervices and materials.
Evaluations of Services Rendered:
Oversee and monitor Progress of contracted services to ensure that all work is effectively supervised and administered.
Cost Control:
Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Evaluate services rendered:
Evaluate the company services is providing and fill up any gaps that become evident. Be ready to offer any additional services client may need and assist him any manner that enhances intercompany relationship and strengthens prospects for longer term contracts. Ensure that all billings is done in a timely manner and that all supporting documentations are duly approved by client representatives for company to submit invoices against. Track and follow up with client and company finance for payments or delays thereof.
Budget and Planning:
Every year budget is set covering Opex and Capex costs. Needs to plan so that all departments are aware of the expected material or services that will be required including any downtime or zero rated time that may ensue Budget revisions are held every 6 month and credible revision plan must be presented to management for review and approval. In additional a quarterly review is conducted 3 times a year.
Certification and Planning:
Maintain Appropriate barge team certification and operate the barge in accordance with safe operational practices to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulatory requirements. Ensure that all Jack up certificates are valid.
