Teach, research and Administration.
I am currently an Associate professor and Head of the department of Economics. I do both teaching and administrating role of the department. Besides this I supervise and guide 6 PhD students and two m.phil students now. I have guided and supervised more than 40 M.phil students so far. I have experience of conducting university Examinations of my college as Examination convener. My college has around 4500 students strength. on whole I teach, administer and research.I am an examiner, question paper setter and board of studies member in the madras university.
My PhD research topic is “Macro Economic Performance and its impact on Trade in India during the period 1990-91 – 2007-2008”. I have researched Indian economy and its macro economic performance considering the importance of foreign trade. I have analysed the strength of merchandise trade of india and its macro economic growth.
I have studied M.Phil degree in Economics. This is a pre research degree. I had chosen "Indo-US economic relationship with special reference to trade" as my topic of research for this degree and secured first class. This dissertation work deals with how trade activities and economic activities influence Indian economy and US economy each other.
B.A. undergraduate degree in economics at presidency college.
This is my master degree in Economics.
