• Provide Level 2/3 support for Linux/HPC machines
Responsibilities handled:
• Installation, configuration and maintenance/troubleshooting of LINUX servers/workstations
• Nagios Monitoring tool implementation
• Sar, sargraph monitoring tool implementation
• GLPI asset management tool implementation
• Update documentation and procedures
• Work to reduce inefficiencies within the UNIX/Linux operating system
• Provide support to UNIX/LINUX infrastructure

• Installation, configuration and maintenance/troubleshooting of UNIX (AIX, Solaris, LINUX) servers
• Update documentation and procedures
• Work to reduce inefficiencies within the UNIX/Linux operating system
• Provide support to UNIX/LINUX infrastructure
• Provide administration, security and operations support in 82 node HPC Cluster (PBS and SGE)
• Provide administration support in all flavors of UNIX/LINUX (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu)
• Support and administer Sun E250, E450, SUN Fire T2000 and IBM pseries (P550) servers
• Support and administer CVS, SVN, FTP and SFTP server running RedHat Enterprise Linux.
• Automate day-to-day operation in CVS, SVN, FTP, SFTP and HPC Cluster using Shell Scripts.
• Support different Engineering Applications like (ANSYS, CFX, Mentor Graphics, Fluent, LS-DYNA) in UNIX/LINUX infrastructure.
• Support and Manage Flexlm based License Server and License Management.
• Ensure UNIX/Linux server and HPC Cluster uptime.
• Support and Manage Xen Virtual Servers in SLES (novel).
• Perform systems and applications security and performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, maintenance and vendor management.
• Work on major Infrastructure projects like DR and BCP initiatives and provide support, information and technical assistance.
• Update documentation and procedures (Server build Document, DR document etc).
• Support And Manage VMware ESX servers using VC
• Server consolidation program by using capacity planning utilities like Plate Spin PowerRecon and VMware ESX 3 and VMware VirtualCenter.
• Provide administration, security and operations support in Linux .
Responsibilities handled:
• Day-to-day management of RedHat Linux Web Servers / FTP / DNS servers and to improve the overall quality of support.
• Provide troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of Linux related issues.
• Test and implement Linux related upgrades.
• Perform systems and applications security and performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, maintenance and vendor management.
• Update documentation and procedures (Server build Document, DR document etc).
• Provide technical support and advice for clients experiencing critical problems on the Linux system.
• Provide Corporate Training in Linux
• Day-to-day management of LINUX infrastructure and work to improve the overall quality of support
• Provide suitable Linux Systems Administration and Support.
• Anticipate problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Provide troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of UNIX related issues.
