Reporting to the CFO of the organization with end-to-end authority for the financial operation of the organization.
•Leading Accounts operations for the Company, ensuring best practice in finance, human resource and administrative management of the organization in order to maximize efficiency and growth.
•Preparing and maintaining organization’s financial forecast with emphasis on annual budget, budget variance, business plans, accounts receivable and accounts payable management.
•Directing the establishment of auditing and internal controls requirement and policies and procedures to ensure adherence and compliance with the established legal rules and organization policies. Facilitating external audits.
•Developing accurate and timely reports, summarizing and forecasting company’s business activities and financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
•Responsible for complex activities associated with maintaining and analyzing general ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports.
•Meticulously analyzing business operations, trends, daily operating costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and provide advice.
•Liaising with banks/financial institutions for clearing import loans, LOC and other payments.
•Leading inventory accounting functions including issue, purchase and monthly inventory checks as well as facilitating insurance of stock, outlets and events.
•Tracking and implementing half-yearly and annual appraisal decisions of employees taken by line managers.
Reported to Finance Manager and Owners.
•Ensured that payables transactions were recorded accurately in accordance with GAAP Principles and company policies.
•Managed the full cycle accounts payable process for multiple business lines, ensured closing of the payables system on a monthly basis; met month end/year end closing deadlines.
•Reconciled assigned account balances and verified propriety of postings and classifications.
•Oversaw the authorization of all invoices paid as well as reviewed policies and made recommendations.
•Responded to inquiries from vendors, employees, and management; conducted special investigations and historical reviews to resolve problems associated with billings for departments.
Administered the financial functions of the organization across for branches in Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, led budgeting, working capital management and funds flow management, evaluated the cost of funds/capital mix.
•Spearheaded strategic financial activities, defined the financial objectives with management, designed and implemented systems, policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial control.
•Prepared project reports, working capital, projected inflow etc. and presented to the bankers. Further negotiated for various rates and facilities with banks and coordinated business activities.
•Received requisitions from all departments and assisted higher officials in preparation of organizational budget. Also carried out variance analysis on the budget and presented findings to the management.
•Reviewed internal control systems, identified weaknesses in key control areas and presented methods for improving internal controls and better management in consultation with auditors.
•Visualized business opportunities and suggestions to reduce the cost of operation and to improve effectiveness.
