I am part of a three-person team responsible for IT operations and Level 2 support in the Head Office of
MoveONE. As MoveONE grows and reorganizes, our department is responsible for accommodating the
growing data, communication, technology, support and security needs. I have actively participated in all roles, purchasing, planning, support and administration.
Maintained network services (Apache, Nginx, SQL, Proxy, DNS, DHCP, Radius, and Monitoring).
Managed Virtualized Infrastructure and Servers of PDC and DRB Sites.
Managed a major infrastructure upgrade in order to replace aging hardware and to standardize
equipment. The upgrade significantly improved network reliability and reduced support calls.
Deploying, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and network hardware infrastructure
and network services include deploying, migrating, and managing Linux infrastructure, improving
support and automating operational task using BASH shell scripts.
Managing and maintaining Asterisk including designing and implementing call routing, IVR, Queues, Ring Groups, Holiday announcements, IAX/SIP trunks, PSTN and ISDN lines, DID etc.
Providing technical support on VOIP Infrastructure, CUPS Printer servers, IP Phones, domain users,
email clients, network problems as submitted to the ticketing system, support calls, and emails.
Worked in team supporting userbase of 350+ based across 21 locations, Providing L1 and L2
technical support service for end users of local office and remote offices of MoveONE.
• Revamped training program for Linux Administration and shell programming including teaching aids and all documentation.
• Responsible for making technology-related decisions and purchases including, hardware, software and peripherals
• Fostering Open Source and Imparting Training on Ubuntu Linux.
• Devising teaching aids and conducted Train-the-trainer Program.
• Imparted training/workshops in numerous engineering colleges.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• For the system administration tasks, study and suggest and as far as possible develop
automated approaches. Identify approaches that cut costs and provide economies of scale.
• Conducted network testing to ensure company's IP consistency
• Configured Remote Installation server with kickstart method to automate the installation process Proxy server (Squid) with limiting bandwidth and blocking various
sites based on keywords
