Lead the hospitals administrative and human resource strategy in alignment with the organizations
mission, vision, and long-term growth plans. Participate in executive decision-making, policy formulation,
and strategic planning. Support the General Manager in achieving operational excellence, financial
sustainability, and high standards of patient care. Ensure that HR and administrative functions contribute
directlyto institutional performance and reputation.
Design and implement effective manpower planning strategies based on bed strength, specialty services,
patient inflow, and expansion plans. Forecast staffing requirements for consultants, doctors, nurses,
paramedical staff, and support services. Build a strong talent pipeline, oversee succession planning for key
leadership roles, and ensure optimal staff-to-patient ratios as per healthcare standards and accreditation
norms.
Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, salary
negotiation, and appointment formalities. Ensure proper verification of medical licenses, certifications, and
professional credentials. Develop structured onboarding programs to integrate new employees into the
hospitals culture, clinical protocols, and operational standards effectively.
Ensure strict adherence to all applicable labor laws, healthcare regulations, statutory compliances (PF, ESI,
Gratuity, Bonus Act, etc.), and biomedical waste management norms. Lead documentation and
compliance preparation for NABH/NABL accreditation and government inspections. Coordinate with legal
advisors on disciplinary matters, medico-legal cases, and employment disputes while safeguarding the
hospitals interests.
Formulate, implement, and periodically review HR policies, service rules, SOPs, and code of conduct in line
with healthcare industry standards. Promote ethical practices, patient-centric values, and a culture of
accountability and professionalism. Ensure clear communication of policies and create a structured
grievance redressal mechanism to maintain workplace harmony.
Oversee day-to-day hospital administration including coordination between medical services, nursing,
operations, maintenance, pharmacy, and finance departments. Monitor key operational indicators such as
bed occupancy rate, patient feedback, service turnaround times, and quality metrics. Support vendor
management, procurement decisions, infrastructure planning, and ensure uninterrupted hospital
operations, especially in the absence of the General Manager.
