Job Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
• Lead the end-to-end execution of EPC construction activities according to project scope, approved drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
• Plan, organize, and supervise construction phases, ensuring alignment with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover milestones.
• Monitor construction progress, identify deviations or risks, and implement corrective and recovery action plans.
Safety, Health & Environment (HSE)
• Champion HSE management across all construction activities, ensuring compliance with QatarEnergy HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and local statutory regulations.
• Conduct site safety reviews, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and SIMOPS coordination to ensure safe execution across onshore and offshore works.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents or near-misses and implement remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure all activities comply with project HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure quality workmanship as per project specifications and ITPs.
• Verify compliance with environmental, regulatory, and client requirements.
Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
• Ensure construction quality by enforcing implementation of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and project QA/QC procedures that meet QatarEnergy technical standards.
• Review and approve construction deliverables such as method statements, work pack plans, and as-built records.
• Facilitate inspections and joint reviews with QA/QC and client representatives to close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Planning, Scheduling & Progress Control
• Collaborate with planning and controls teams to develop and maintain baseline and look-ahead schedules, monitor progress, and support trend analysis and reporting.
• Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and present construction progress to senior project leadership.
Cost & Risk Management
• Support construction cost monitoring and cost-to-complete forecasting in coordination with project controls.
• Participate in risk workshops and maintain risk registers specific to construction execution challenges.
• Promote proactive risk mitigation measures to minimize schedule slippage and quality or safety lapses.
