I am a Health & Safety Practitioner, with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, currently working as HSE Coordinator in AL HUDA ENGINEERING WORKS for a Risk Mitigation Project on-going in the HMC Heart Hospital & NCCCR.
Work Responsibility:
•Preparation and approval of Method Statement and inspection test plan (ITP).
•To inspect the fit-up as per piping drawing, commence the welding, visual inspection and pressure test and certification of piping spools.
•To carry out painting of the structural supports and piping spools as per the ADMA OPCO painting specs 530, 510, 220 and 610.
• To carry out load test of materials supplied and co-ordinate with ADMA OPCO material handling team.
•To initiate the purchase and inspection of material compliance as per specified bill of materials.
•To coordinate with ADMA OPCO inspector for Material Receiving Inspection and sign off the documents.
•Analyzing the quality of each joint.
•Carrying out the stage inspection like fit-up, dimensional, welding inspection.
•Preparation and approval of QA/QC procedures of non-destructive techniques like MPI, DPT, RT& UT, Hydro test package & painting.
•Updating instrumental calibration and documenting certificate of inspection, measuring & test instruments/equipments etc.
•Provide proper preheat arrangements for the piping joint prior to the welding as per WPS.
•Stage wise inspection before, during and after fabrication in accordance with the ITP.
•Checking heat treatments for Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) charts. Check the correct measurements of hardness, when required, and the acceptability of the result.
•Making the NDT request for welded joints.
•Review of radiographic films, witnessing ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrate testing and reviewing the results of the tests.
•Witnessing the weld repair inspection.
