Responsibilities:-
* Provide storage administration for IBM Enterprise, Midrange, HP EVA 8000 series and SUN StorEdge 9980-85 Storage boxes.
* Configuring and managing IBM Midrange storage boxes using DS Storage Manager.
* Configuring and managing HP EVA 8000 series storage boxes using HP Command view EVA.
* Configuring and managing SUN StorEdge 9980-85 storage boxes using Storage Navigator.
* Storage allocation, de-allocation and reclaiming space using SMC and CLI on V-Max
* Coordinating with vendor (I BM and HP) for hardware replacements
* Performing the Zoning using GUI browser and CLI
* Registering the host HBA in Storage Arrays.
* Checking alerts
* Maintenance of existing fiber channel switches, creating soft zones & upgrading firmware of the switches with the help of CLI.
* Expanding the existing LUNs as per the requirement.
* Deletion of unused LUN as per the requirement from Clients.
* Managing raid groups (Creation, Expansion, and Deletion)
* Taking the logs and configuration backups from various storage arrays for analysis and life cycle management.
* Defining Zoning and LUN masking for secured SAN environment.
* Proactively monitoring of Storage Fabrics in a SAN environment.
* Preparing the activity plans to achieve the customer's requirements.
* Delivering the solutions in time while meeting the deadlines.
* Preparing Health check reports on daily basis and capacity reports on monthly.
* New Host registration with clarion boxes
* Preparing Health check reports on daily basis and capacity reports on monthly
* Follow proper Change management and preparation of technical documentation of all SAN related projects
