NEOM is a futuristic city project being developed by the Saudi Arabian government. The ambitious initiative aims to create a new, sustainable city that will serve as a model for the future. The project covers an area of 26, 500 square kilometers and is located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, near the borders with Jordan and Egypt.
As part of the NEOM project, The LINE is an ambitious initiative to create a zero-carbon urban community with a focus on livability and sustainability. The LINE is a long, narrow strip of land stretching for 170 kilometers, with the aim of providing easy access to all the amenities that residents might need. It will be powered by renewable energy and incorporate cutting-edge technologies to provide a seamless, integrated living experience. The project is expected to attract significant investment and become a model for sustainable urban development globally.
As Director, Project Controls Mr. Ammar Lead the development and implementation of Project Management controls. Developing customized solutions based on business objectives, preparing and implementing processes and procedures, selecting the appropriate tools and technology, conducting the proper training and communications, and monitoring performance metrics for continued improvement in order to manage projects effectively to achieve business goals and objectives.

As part of the Riyadh Advanced Metro Project Execution and Delivery (RAMPED) joint venture between Louis Berger/WSP and Hill International. Hill was awarded a contract to provide project and construction management services for the $8.6 billion Riyadh Metro project. As the intermediary between the client and the design-build contractors, the Hill team is overseeing design and construction deliverables throughout the project lifecycle for Package 3, which consists of three of the six automated Metro lines (4, 5 and 6). This package covers 67 kilometers of track with 48 kilometers of elevated alignment, 5.5 kilometers of mined tunnel, 22 stations, and nearly 13 kilometers of bored tunnel constructed through some of the most congested districts in Riyadh.
Mr. Ammar plays two roles in this project: Sr. PCM \[Head of Project Controls\] in (RAMPED) responsible for coaching and leading the project controls team, providing Project Controls Services in respect of the contractor works and helping to ensure everything is in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures. Meanwhile, Mr. Ammar representing Hill in this project as Senior Project Director and reporting to SVP of Hill International, KSA.
