Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Sales
• Developed and implemented the sales and marketing plan, determined and assigned sales targets to the field sales force and the stores staff, monitored sales activities and ensured completion of targets.
• Devised the stores budget, oversaw promotional and marketing campaigns, allocated finances for various business activities and controlled costs.
• Coordinated with principal company to maintain the company brand and promote products in line with the demand in the market.
• Carried out marketing surveys regarding competitor stores in the area and the products offered by them, modified plans to counteract competitor strategies.
• Oversaw store inventory to keep it well stocked to meet customer demand, ensured storage facilities were satisfactory to avoid spoilage.
• Responsible for merchandising and display, ensured that the store was well lit with impressive display to attract more customers.
• Evaluated various locations in the area for opening new stores, analyzed feasibility of setting up new stores and made recommendations to the management accordingly.
• Determined month-end sales by reviewing sales performance of in-store staff and field executives, prepared and presented sales reports to the senior management.
• Encouraged high standards of customer service ensured that the sales staff assisted customers efficiently and politely.
• Maintained product quality by coordinating consistently with the principal company, escalated any quality complaints to top management, determined which product batch did not meet quality, and initiated replacement of products where warranted.
Team Leadership & Administration
• Organized training programs for the sales team from time-to-time to improve their professional skills and helped them to achieve expected job-performance levels.
• Interviewed and hired personnel across various functions (sales, admin, accounts and inventory) to ensure efficient operations.
• Managed employee payroll accounting for leaves, extra work hours put in, performance incentives, deductions etc.
• Ensured compliance with HR policies and procedures of the company, initiated disciplinary measures in cases of infringement.
• Responsible for managing suppliers and service providers, verified service provider invoices and signed off on payment release; resolved queries of service providers and suppliers.
