• June 2007- Present: DC PRO Engineering

Worked as Draftsman in the District Cooling Division, assist the Document controlling role and Mechanical Inspector for the Plant Room's Building Services and Process.
DC PRO Engineering is an electro mechanical consultancy firm specialized in District Energy Services and Green Building Design.

Main responsibilities include the following:
a. District cooling strategic master planning and assessment studies
b. Detailed process design for district cooling schemes including district cooling plants, underground distribution networks, energy transfer stations customer interface, and internal HVAC distribution from concept to construction drawings level.
c. Feasibilities and commercial studies
d. Witnessing of testing, commissioning, balancing and handing over of district cooling schemes.
e. Evaluation, assessment and remedy of defects for design and operation performance of existing district cooling plants or plants under design.

Key Regional Projects Handled:
a. Motor City: Detailed Design, Engineering Reviews, Construction management & Supervision for Motor City Project District Cooling Plants 1&2 of total capacity 92, 000 TR, chilled water underground piping network consisting of 50 Km CS & HDPE piping network & 23 Energy Transfer Stations of total capacity 40, 000 TR.

b. Reem Islamd: Engineering design for chilled water piping network design for 90, 000 TR plant at Tamouh Project, Reem Island.

c. Worker's Village: Detailed Engineering design for Worker's Village district cooling plant of total capacity 12, 500 TR and chilled water distribution network consisting of 6.5 Km CS & HDPE piping network.

d. Building Material City: Detailed Engineering design, Construction Management and Supervision for Building Material City District Cooling Plant of total capacity 30, 000 TR, Energy Transfer Stations and chilled water distribution network consisting of 6 Km CS piping network.

e. Sharjah Investment Center: Engineering design, Construction Management and Supervision for Sharjah Investment Center district cooling plant of total capacity 120, 000 TR and chilled water distribution network consisting of 44 KM CS piping network.

f. Bay La San: Detailed Engineering Design for Bay La San Development, King Abdulla Economic City for 2 district cooling plants, distribution network and Energy Transfer Stations of total capacity 78, 000 TR.

g. Masdar City: Masdar City ultimate green District Cooling Concept design comprising of three plants each of 25, 000 Ton capacity inclusive deep geothermal energy harvesting, Concentrated trough solar collector, centralized liquid desiccant distribution and regeneration, centralized hot water network for solid desiccant regeneration, double and triple effect absorption chillers, ultra high efficiency electric centrifugal chillers, chilled water and hot water thermal storages, distribution network, etc.

h. Al Sowwah Island: Detailed engineering design and construction supervision of Al Sowwah Island district cooling plant of total capacity 80, 000 TR and 20 MW standby power generation.

i. ADNEC: Detailed engineering design for ADNEC district cooling plant, chilled water piping and Energy Transfer Stations of total capacity 30, 000 TR.

j. Salalah Airport: Salalah Airport in Oman, with a total built up area of 1, 000, 000 sq. ft., DC PRO scope of work was to establish HVAC design concept and develop the detailed design and shop drawings for the HVAC design, stress analysis for A/C ducts and surge analysis for chilled water pipes, CFD analysis, and complete design of district cooling plant with capacity of 15, 400 T.R.

k. ADNOC: ADNOC Headquarter, Concept and Detailed Engineering design for ADNOC Headquarter District Cooling Plant of total capacity 8, 500 TR.

l. Internal Security Forces: Detailed civil & MEP Process and Building Services alternative Design development for Internal Security Forces District Cooling Plant Room of 40, 000 TON capacity, chilled Water distribution network and building connections. The design includes a Thermal Storage Tank of 5, 000 TON capacity.

m. Jubail Industrial City: Detailed Engineering Design for Jubail Industrial College District Cooling Plant with total capacity of TR 30, 000.


Aside to Draftsman, I was assigned as a document controlling and Mechanical Inspector

• Create a list of deliverables and calculations to be prepared for each type of project by the help of division heads
• Coordinate with each project captain to ensure that all deliverables list is completed prior to submission deadline by following up with different departments and production teams and according to work plan to be prepared by job captain.
• ensure that design review procedure is being implemented by filling the design review routing sheet from each job captain and division head for each project and ensuring proper work flow between departments
• Follow up on each project captain to ensure that deadline for design submission will be met. In case of any delays, proper documentation for reasons and justifications should be kept in file.
• Ensure that all correspondence for any project is being properly filed under project's name. All letters issued by DC PRO should be properly filed and maintained in the appropriate folder.
• Ensuring that all submittals are being responded to in a maximum of 5 working days. Action taken and response date should be recorded.
• Ensuring that all submittals are being filed properly with the response and action taken.
• Coordinate with HR on handling tasks and supervise office administration ensuring the smooth work flow of work.
• Doing mechanical inspection for the plant room's Building Services, Builders work & Process according to the approved design and materials to ensure the quality of work.
