• As a Corporate Certified Saudi Aramco Health and Safety Trainer I work within the loss prevention environment.
• Developed and presented numerous Health & Safety Training Courses for all the below :
• H2S, Gas Testing, Hazard Recognition, Work Permit Issuer/Receiver,
Confined space Entry, LOTO, BLS (heart saver), General H&S in the workplace, Risk Assessment, H&S Induction, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), H&S Manual Handling, H&S Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessor training as Fire Safety and Management and Driver improvement Program.

Duties for this position included
• Continued development and implementation of the company HSE Management System for a Libyan National Oil Company, consisting of 4 desert based production fields and a tank farm/terminal
• Develop HSE Management System project plan
• Develop 5 year strategic plan
• Set HSE goals and Targets
• Identify the resources required to meet the requirements of the project plan
• Assign tasks from the project plan
• Chair HSE Management System meetings
• Track task performance against agreed deadlines
• Amend existing procedures following review
• Write and implement new procedures
• Conduct Procedure Review meetings
• Implementation of a new permit to work system
• Maintaining training records of base personnel and field personnel.
• Organize and conduct HSE and other job related training.
• Prepare and submit reports as requested by Management and inline with the HSE Management System.
• Create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
• Report to top Management on the performance of the HSE Management system and make recommendations for improvement
• Ensure all company HSE Procedures and work instructions are complied with through auditing and training.
• Conduct Procedure Review meetings
• Amend existing procedures following review
• Write and implement new procedures
• Prepare HSE Audit Plan.

Recruited by Boots & Coots to fill a vacant position within Harouge Oil Operations (Tripoli / Libya) as a HSE MS Project Coordinator to lead the project team and support ongoing Harouge Oil Operations with HSE advice and direction that contributes to the elimination / minimisation of adverse on company operation and supports compliance with company HSE policies and standards, national regulations and local and international treaties,
• Developing and executing medium and long project work plans and revising plans as appropriate to meet change needs and requirements;
• Identifying human resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities;
• Challenging project team members to develop and improve performances while serving as a role model and mentor;
• Remain in touch with the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope through robust communications with the HSE MS project team;

• Based throughout Libya including office based in Tripoli and desert based operations
• Conducting risk assessments including job hazard analysis
• Organizing desert passes and other associated documentation
• Completing and complying with permit to work (PTW) systems for a wide range of tasks including hot work and Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material. (NORM) surveying.
• Developing safe systems of work for different sites within the desert environment, from initial site survey through to final stages of processing materials i.e. for oily tar sands.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and sub contractors on a wide range of issues including the completion of reports, inspection of work sites and compliance issues
• Attending meetings with an agenda and conveying information in a clear and precise manner to all parties concerned.

• Delivering inductions for new staff along with keeping up to date training records for current staff and ensuring training needs are met.
• Carry out accident/incident and Hazard Observation Investigations
• Identify risk and provide Information and training to reduce the risk
• Monitoring the standard of safety on site and ensuring that safety standard are upheld.
• Ensure all customers, employees and contractors abide by health and safety legislation at all time and provide support and advice.
