I was a member of International Roaming Expert Group (IREG).
Roaming Service Engineer was the position which I worked in Orange Company. I was responsible to perform the main configuration and implementation on some of GSM nodes like \[HLR, VLR, SGSN…\], after that test should be started from both ends (Home public land mobile network \[HPLMN\] & visited public land mobile network \[VPLMN\]) if the signed agreement was bilateral. If not, then agreement is unilateral so test should be started from VPLMN or HPLMN according to agreement.

Test is done using operator’s SIM cards which they were sent before, after that all services should be tested regarding type of connection then all checked services would be activated after connection launch.

Finally, connection launch allow to all customer who are related to that HPLMN to use VPLMN network’s tested service.
