Area of responsibility:
Preparing Financials:
• Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statement in deadline pressure.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation for all accounts to avoid material misstatement.
• Supervision of accounting & reporting functions in accordance with applied policies.
• Work with External auditors (KPMG) provide external auditors with the needed reports/analysis
to help them achieve their Process effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure adequate bad debt allowances with external auditors.
• Work with any internal audit from inside Cargill.
Budget (Opex & CAPEX):
• Prepare required foretasted financial statements (P&L - B.S - Cash flow) for budget.
• Directing budget discussions with different company departments
• Prepare required budgeted calculation for fixed assets depreciation.
• Prepare other required data for other budget schedules
• Approve all purchase orders to ensure its aligned and within budget.
Accounting functions:
• Review & correct all entries through General ledger (ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Great plains & JDE)
• Supervising & Controlling Payable work and all types of payments by:
- Reviewing payment Invoices & purchase orders to ensure its aligned and within budget
- Review all contracts (premiant & Temp. contracts).
- Have an authority to sign checks
• Supervising & Controlling Accounts Receivables and credit control by reviewing Sales invoice and coordinate with logistic Dept. and analyzing receivables aging policy.
Treasury& Cash management:
• Managing monthly bank reconciliation and work with treasury team to insure controlling liquidity
Fixed asset
Applying Fixed Asset principles, procedures and Practice by:
• Supervising the Recording, Tagging & safeguarding of fixed Assets.
• Applying Fixed Assets depreciation policy as per approved policy.
• Monitoring addition, retirement and disposal policy of the fixed assets
Tax and legal responsibilities:
• Reviewing all tax related to the company (Income tax, sales tax, WHT and VAT) handling to many tax
Examination and prepare all the needed reports/analysis.
• Represent Company in many tax internal committees and helped to lowering many tax liabilities
Assets Insurance:
• Responsible for all Cargill Egypt insurance assets & dealing with insurance companies.
General achievements:
• Responsible for all cost matters with the CFO of a project in the company which total cost was about 8.5 Million USD to establish two automated flat storage with total capacity 30, 000 Ton, Working with the consultant to put the bid requirements, review the contracts, working with the purchasing for external purchases
• Establish a new chart of account which fit Cargill standers and implement it in a new system (ERP).
• Responsible for Site control by implementing Security policy in the site to protect the company's property and products against theft, and make a monthly check on scales to ensure that all scales calibrated according to local laws and regulations and daily inventory (in & out)
• Participate in implement Record Information Management (RIM) through establish archive rooms for the company and apply document retention period for all the company departments
• Succeeded to remove a claim from contractor’s insurance authority towards company would cost the company about one million per year
• Responsible for now for a new project to increase company storage area with new silos.
