Al Sahraa Group is a multi-disciplinary group of companies in different sectors including Building Construction through Design &Build projects as well as Civil and infrastructure (Roads, Bridges & services), railway works Airports, special military and security projects, general contracting supported by subsidiary companies/divisions involved in property Investment, Industries, Transportation & equipment, metal fabrication, signage, road marking and recruitment. My role in Al Sahraa Holding Group is to Lead a team of construction professionals in various program management aspects (Project directors and managers, Planning & Programming, Contracts, Cost Control, procurement, projects coordination, Business Development and Quantity Surveying, ) for a number of projects with overall value of approx. AED 2 Billion at a time through a directive Project Management Office (PMO) with extensive and wide range of responsibilities including mainly:

• Direct, support, and monitor all projects in terms of planning and programming, cost & budget control, resources, change management, procurement, resources allocation, contract administration, productivity rates, stakeholder’s management…etc.
• Review, develop and ensure implementing of company’s processes and procedures for Tendering, Contracts Administration, Subcontracting, Procurement & Payment Certificates, Resource Management …etc.
• Manage Contracting and Procurement complete processing from RFP’s, negotiation through to selection and appointing.
• Provide periodic reporting using presentations and dashboards with KPI’s to Executive Management on Projects’ progress & financial stands as well as Tendering status and propose solutions for arising issues to ensure smooth workflow.
• Collaborate with CFO and Finance teams to review projects’ financial stands and plan cashflow inwards and outwards.
• Attend major Clients’ tender briefings, provide guidance, and participate in negotiating and closing of tenders.
• Participating in Executive management communications with external potential business partners in forms of Joint Ventures, Sponsoring, Collaboration Frameworks, MOU’s…etc. and provide the appropriate counselling and documentation review.

• Elevate overall projects profit value from by 7%.
• Secure Claims with value exceeding AED 40 mill.
• Safeguard the company against AED 66 mill. Claims/ Penal.
• Savings on procurement, admin. ...etc. by appr. AED 40 mill.

Startup roles as a Site engineer, Project Engineer & Office Projects Coordinator with various construction companies for projects like Medical Centre, Military Camp & villas.

Baytek Construction group is a multi-disciplinary group of primarily 3 main contracting and construction companies which are Baytek (BBC), KSS, and Al Qaythathara (qbc). The group is also supported by a number of subsidiary sister companies dealing with specified construction fields, like MEP, post tension, wood works, facade and metal sections…. etc.
My role was to build and lead a team of technical & contract engineers, quantity surveyors, estimators & CAD operators to perform the following for a number of residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality projects simultaneously:
•Participate in managing board meetings to discuss projects status and assign group targets and future plans.
•Attend key progress meetings with project clients/consultants to discuss project progress, contractual matters, resolving technical, commercial and logistical conflicts or problems.
• Prepare and review contractual letters to Clients, Consultants and subcontractors.
• Pinpoint changes and initiate change management process to raise variation claims.
• Assist in project bidding and estimation for new tenders
. • Proceed with quantity surveying of all awarded projects using specialized QS software for the purposes of tendering and internal subcontractors’ payments.
• Review and verify monthly payment certificates to clients and from subcontractors
• Establish and maintain a proper document controlling system for technical office to ensure proper handling and tracking of all technical documents.
•Study design drawings and specifications and raise enquiries to clarify discrepancies and obtain missing information.
• Propose design enhancement and value engineering options where applicable.
• Coordinate all disciplines (Structural, architectural, civil, MEP...etc.) using 3D modeling and issue technical documents and shop drawings.
• Handle site technical issues and provide suitable and feasible solutions as necessary.

• Responsible for the coordination of design starting from schematic to detailed design stage. The development comprises 6 residential buildings, 1 commercial building, a food and beverage village, a multi-story car park and a hotel including roads and infrastructure.
• Manage a team of designers’ to ensure progress of design submission to authorities like Town Planning, Civil Defense, DOT, Estidama, ADSSC and follow-up until gaining approvals
• Review structural and architectural design and propose value engineering where applicable maintaining quality.
• Follow up with Municipality to gain structural & Architectural design approvals.
• Lead a team of Engineers & CAD operators and coordinate with various departments to issue structural and architectural workshop drawings.
• Ensure site technical requirements are provided with regards to method statements, material samples & shop drawings, RFI’s…etc. and follow-up to gain consultants approvals.
• Handle site technical problems and provide suitable and feasible solutions as necessary.
• Lead a number of subcontractors and reviewing their submission logs, method statements and shop drawings prior to starting site works and handle their queries and site technical issues. List of subcontractors contains but not limited to: Infrastructure, waterproofing, formwork, steel structure, internal finishes, external precast cladding, roofing, landscaping, metal works, doors, kitchens, signage …etc.

Leading technical teams to coordinate between various departments (Architectural, MEP, planning, site team....) and create civil and structural documents and drawings, handle site technical issues, deal with subcontractors, liaise with the Engineers & Clients for design issues and expedite approvals for a number of iconic and mega projects like Burj Khalifa, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi Airport Presidential Terminal, Business Bay Bridge and Tram Dubai with an overall projects value exceeding $4 billion.Leading technical teams to coordinate between various departments (Architectural, MEP, planning, site team....) and create civil and structural documents and drawings, handle site technical issues, deal with subcontractors, liaise with the Engineers & Clients for design issues and expedite approvals for a number of iconic and mega projects like Burj Khalifa, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi Airport Presidential Terminal, Business Bay Bridge and Tram Dubai with an overall projects value exceeding $4 billion.

Supervise construction works for concrete structures: retaining walls, box culverts, dam protection.
•Conduct site surveys to evaluate and study existing condition of bridges and other structures, failure investigations then prepare reports to propose remedial actions.
•Follow up rehabilitation and remedial works using specialized repairing methods and materials like crack injection, carbon fiber strengthening and gabions, reinforcement protection using electrochemical products, flowable concrete, repairing mortar, shot-creting (guniting), spray applied waterproofing membrane, protective coating, jacking up bridges and replacing of neoprene bearing pads, replacing expansion joints using mechanical elastomeric and thermal joints.
•Superviseasphalt-paving operations including town roads and infrastructure constructions including interlocking tiles, curbstones, guardrails, sewage, storm water and other utilities in addition to traffic signs.
