Mall of Kuwait, Landscape Development
Prepared landscape detail design for Tamdeen Group. Working close together with Callison RTKL conceptual designer comprising of a Mall with external plaza, a multistoried parking garage and adjoining surface parking. The site is in south Sabahiya and consists of 2 plots of 79, 640 sqm and 27, 000
sqm for the Mall and a parking garage respectively. Responsible for detail design developments for both plots, coordination and maintain client’s project standards. through the design stages and in material research and liaison with local authority, preparing and reviewing detail design and tender package, coordination and tender documentation.
Developing Regional Design Guidelines for Makkah, Madinah and Eastern Province
As part of Vision 2030, to ensure that Saudi Arabia is a vibrant society, with a thriving economy, Development Authority Support Office (DASO) has approached Ramboll along with InSite working on swift 90-day exercise to develop high-level Regional Design Guidelines for Makkah, Madinah and Eastern regions in the Kingdom. Role included, conducted site visits and meeting client stakeholders, municipalities and amanahs for each city, reviewing National Guideline Policy Framework, The King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism, regional and local codes and regulations. Other roles included providing extensive analysis and studies on architectural, urban characters, public realms by using benchmarking, illustrative design guidelines heritage and conservations. Prepared final documentation and presented the findings during final workshops to DASO and the stakeholders.
Green Neighbourhood Landscape Design Olaishah and Middle Uraija
Prepared full landscape package for Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). The Olaishah and Middle Uraija Neighbourhoods represent Package 5 of 160 Neighbourhoods to be greened. As such, it is intended that they will exemplify the goals of the Green Riyadh Strategy. Preparing landscape master planning and landscape design for a diversity of neighbourhood open spaces and streetscapes within Olaishah and Middle Uraija neighbourhoods. This includes planning and indetifying potential areas for open spaces and designing new neighbourhood parks, empty plots, parking lots, and includes the open spaces within/next to buildings as mosques, schools, medical facilities, colleges and public buildings, etc. Landscape design is also sought for streetscapes which encompass internal roads within the Neighbourhood boundaries. Role included visited and analyzed data information during the site survey. Responsible for client's coordination, design and maintain client’s project standards, liaison with local authority, preparing conceptual and schematic design. Reviewing documents at each submission stage, multi-disciplinary coordination and documentation for local authority approvals. Also, preparing and reviewing detail design and tender package.
Saudi Downtowns - Urban Renewal & Development
Of the 12 cities, KEO was commissioned as the Multi-Disciplinary Consultant (MDC) for 3 of the cities, Arar, Burayda and Madinah. Role included visited and analyzed data information during the site survey. Prepared validation of the Concept Master Plans (CMP), followed by creating Detailed Master Plans with Infrastructure integration and Public Realm Master Plans. Prepared full scope from Concept to Detail Design of the Public Realm Design including Tendering Services.
Amaala Triple Bay Public Realm Wellness Route
Involved in preparing Schematic Design to Tender Construction package with Martha Schwartz Partners for Amaala. Scope includes preparing schematic design onwards for Linear Park, Wellness Route, Wadi Trails, Roads Right of Way and Peripheral Landscape areas. Responsible for schematic, detail design developments, coordinating and maintaining client’s project standards throughout stages and liaison with local authority and stakeholders.
Studies & Design Services for Housing Projects for Ministry of Housing, KSA
Masterplanning for a total of 30Million square meter housing development for the Ministry of Housing in 7 different regions. The study aims to create a typical sustainable urban environment that supports National Development Strategy Plan. He configured different planning schemes for each development that included varying lot sizes, themes, public amenities and maximizing open spaces. Stormwater management techniques were incorporated which included the use of dry wadi. His role also was to coordinate, design and maintain client’s project standards. through the design stages and in material research and liaison with local authority, preparing conceptual and schematic design. Reviewing documents at each submission stage, multi-disciplinary coordination and documentation for local authority approvals.
Landscape National Guideline, KSA
Prepared new guideline and regulations for Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) started from the site visits to the 16 Amanahs and Baladiyas, collecting data and information related to the study. The scope covering from studying site masterplanning context, design guidelines, operation and maintenance, drafting specifications and contracts that will be applied by 16 municipalities throughout the kingdom. Role included visited and analyzed data information during the site survey, drafted policies and reports outlined specifications and contracts as well as arranged and presented final works during the workshop at Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in Riyadh. Independently evaluate, select, and apply masterplanning criteria and standard, landscape architecture guidelines and techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment based on the site visits and survey in making adaptations and modifications on projects.
Masterplanning of Saudi Telecom Company Campus in Riyadh for STC, KSA
STC is a world-class leading communication providing innovative services and platforms to customers in the MENA region, site area of HQ complex is around 700, 000m2 located in Al-Mursalat district of Riyadh. The aim of the development is to create an urban and architectural identity for STC Campus, expressing the nature and the power of the company. STC HQ masterplan consists of offices tower and building, residential compound, training centre and services. The development comprises of two phasing. Phase one consist of offices tower buildings and services while second phase includes staff residential compound. Responsible for masterplanning layout studies, concept masterplan design and detail design developments for each zone. Manages the presentation and report development for client. Reviewing documents at each submission stage, multi-disciplinary coordination, and tender documentation
White Water Rafting Jebel Hafeet, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Wadi Adventure is the Middle East’s first man-made white-water rafting, kayaking, surf and wakeboarding facility, found at the foothills of the imposing Jebel Hafeet and adjacent to Green Mubazzarah in Al Ain. Wadi Adventure offers an array of exhilarating, fun and challenging experiences that can’t be found in any of the traditional water parks in the UAE. Resident Landscape Architect supervised site implementation and project management to ensure contractors complying with construction drawings and specifications. Managed relevant project documents, data and reports. Attended site meetings, site discussions and site inspections.

Yas Island Retail Mall, Abu Dhabi, UAE
A 2500-hectare mixed use development, located on prime area of Yas Island Ferrari World consisting of a retail core, entertainment, and leisure activities. Yas Mall is home to 400 world’s top fashion and food brands, 20-screen cinema, and the region’s largest family entertainment zone. Landscape Architect working on fast-track prestigious project developing detail design stage following developed concept masterplan. Manages the presentation and report development for client. Reviewing documents at each submission stage, multi-disciplinary coordination, and tender documentation.
Dubai World Central, Dubai, UAE
Built south of the city, close to the fast-growing areas of “new Dubai”, DWC lies at the heart of an entire airport city. There were five key areas in the scope of work including Office Park, Boulevard, DLC Headquarter, open spaces, streetscape as well as signages and landmarks. Heights is a unique mixed use and integrated development aimed at bringing a new level of executive lifestyle to Georgia. The project involves commercial, residential, communal and entertainment facilities. Part of the team responsible for the overall site planning, coordination of the ever-challenging infrastructure, thorough site studies, master landscape design, including commercial, boutique hotel, high end residential and golf course.
Dubai Health Care City 2, Dubai UAE
ACLA has been awarded by Dubai International Properties to carry out preliminary and detail design for four key areas of the total 500 hectares upscale development focused on health care and wellness located in the centre of Dubai. The areas are Urban Village Waterfront, event area, Urban Village Park and Clinical Villas. Won the first prize for the International Landscape Design Competition for Dubai Health Care City 2 based on the submitted competition.
Mesaieed Industrial City Masterplanning, Qatar
Located approximately 40km south of Doha and on the east cost of Qatar. Massive housing projects, community parks, green belt and business park been planned to cater for the increasing demand in the market. Involved in initial concept and design development stages. Role included masterplanning, conceptual, and preliminary design stage.
Khalifa Street in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Involved in upgrading Khalifa Street in Abu Dhabi to turn it into an amazing world class retail and recreation experience. The project classified a very high profile and will attract a lot of attention from all around the world. ACLA just won the commission to upgrade Khalifah Street in Abu Dhabi in April 2006. He was part of the team member doing ground work and site survey. Involved in collecting data, thorough study and presented preliminary conceptual design to the Abu Dhabi Municipality.
