• Review the project mechanical scope of work drawings and all documents (Method statements, Quality plan,
procedures etc.) submitted by sub-contractor during construction.
• Issue NCRs whenever something is not according to project specification.

PIPING Responsibilities:

• Inspected mechanical works including carbon steel, HDPE (ID 3230 - offshore), GRP (DN3500 - onshore),
valves, pumps, and structural supports.
• Performed spark test leak detection for HDPE pipelines; conducted hydrotesting for GRP pipelines using joint
testers for coupling and lamination joints.
• Reviewed and implemented ITPs, method statements, and inspection checklists for all mechanical scopes.
• Issued MIRs, WIRs, and NCRs; maintained complete QA/QC documentation per ISO9001 requirements.
• Verified material compliance, certifications, traceability, and proper storage/handling upon site delivery.
• Coordinated closely with the Royal Commission and consultants for inspection approvals and quality
walkthroughs.
• Ensured all site activities were carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and
QA/QC standards.
• Performed quality inspection of welded joints in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications
(WPS), engineering drawings, and international standards (ASME).
• Conducted and witnessed destructive testing of welded samples such as tensile testing, bend tests, and
macro/micro examination to verify weld integrity and mechanical properties.
• Verified welder qualifications, welding parameters, consumables, and pre-heat / post-weld heat treatment (PWHT)
requirements.
• Monitoring the daily welding activities, review of the welding summery reports.
• Witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including:
➢ Visual Testing (VT)
➢ Radiographic Testing (RT)
➢ Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT / PT)
➢ Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT / MT)
➢ Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (if applicable, otherwise remove)
• Identified welding defects such as porosity, lack of fusion, undercut, cracks, and incomplete penetration, and
initiated corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinated with production, fabrication, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve welding
performance.
• Ensured implementation of health, safety, and quality standards during inspection and testing activities.
• Maintain department project welding and related files so that information is readily available to another
department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation in the field of mechanical such as HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing work (MEP)
practices according to project specification and standards, including review of drawings and project
specifications.
• Provide approved HVAC shop drawing, MEP coordination drawing to site supervisor or foremen and inform them
to the shift the required ducting & piping approvals material from the warehouse to site and arrange required
material to progress delay.
• Ensure the HVAC ducts, fittings & accessories, chilled water pipes, fittings & accessories are professionally
installed.
• In Plumbing Working in installation and well known with different types of pipes, fittings and valves used in
Potable water system, Wastewater system, Drainage system & Rainwater system. Sanitary systems having
knowledge of different types of pumps and pipes used in Plumbing.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other department engineers for site installation works.
• Ensure the design and implementation of mechanical system.
• Ensure timely completion of Site installations under Project Planning Schedule.
• Coordinate with QA/QC Department for conducting inspections for installation.
• Verify that all site activities follow the quality codes and standards.
• Take the action for non-conformance report (NCR) and implement the work to close immediately.
• Conducting test like smoke test, light test, pressure leak test & Gravity Test.
