Currently working as Manager Engineering Core Networks, and responsibilities include;
Planning and budgeting of Core elements based on commercial forecast.
Responsible for Budget and Business plans preparation with Capex calculations.
Responsible for core signaling network including design, routing, KPI analysis, configuration management with scripts, support for troubleshooting.
Overall responsible for IR related configuration, routing, configuration management, KPI analysis, various roaming related services.
Coordination with IR-SCCP carriers (TATA and TIS) and as well as RPs for routing changes, troubleshooting and testing purpose.
Responsible for keeping the IR21 document up to date with all the relevant network information.
Online data fill for RAEX IR.21 by GSM Association
Contribute to the development and engagement of staff and workforce and ensure alignment and adherence to company’s processes, standards, and policies
Document preparation for RFQ evaluation of various vendors, and their analysis.
Various vendor evaluations for Core network modernization with detailed analysis.
To ensure all the core SS7 network elements of all four regions operate below threshold at all times by performing the below mentioned actions:
Performance Monitoring to identify / forecast expected capacity issues.
Initiation of required load balancing plans for prevention of capacity problems.
Follow up with the concerned departments for timely execution of the floated plans.
Prepare and implement the plans for special occasions such as Eid, New Year etc.
Responsible for the Roamware solution, it’s planning, design and launch of new services related to Roamware and International Roaming.
Prepare and design the master plan based on future forecast and budget.
Follow up of Work orders for expansion, integration and migration activities, with Level-1 and Level-2 of Operations teams
To ensure control of SS7 routing database management for all Network by performing the below mentioned actions:
Removal of junk routing database.
Implementation of SS7 routing database in a standardized manner across all Network.
Verification of the codes, i.e. all required GTs should be included in the database including E164, E212 and E214 for Mobilink and other operators.
To perform a complete SS7 routing database audit every quarter.
Evaluate and technically validate offers from suppliers for core network (STP/Signaling) expansions and new services
Responsible for MNP solution implementation nationwide and also troubleshooting of MNP related issues.
Conduct Trial projects and also IOT with other vendors.
PR/PO processing and budget capitalization for Core related projects.
Major Achievements:
Seamless swap of STP layer from Tekelec to Huawei nationwide without any downtime including signaling with all Core nodes including plan and configuration changes scripts. Migration completed with very short timelines (e.g., 5 days for complete South region).
International SCCP carrier shifting project (PTCL to TATA/TIS), for IR and Int SMS traffic.
HLR swap with least possible degradation including routing modifications on all STP/Core nodes covering the transient phase as well.
Routing modifications on STP/Core to support IN / PS / SMSC / Misc VAS nodes swap projects
Designed complete signaling routing for new STP swap project covering all Core nodes.
RFQ analysis for Signaling layer covering all aspects, and consolidation of RFQ evaluation and analysis for complete Core module with short timelines
Management SMS POI
TDM to Sigtran migration for all existing signaling connectivity of STP with all Core nodes
Multi-vendor integration of Core Nodes with existing network (Tekelec STPs) such as NSN-HLR, NSN-IN, Huawei R4GMSCs, Ericsson IN, NSN-PS, Acision-SMSC, Tekelec Antispam etc.
Overall responsible for core signaling network (8 STPs, 40 MSCs, 25 GMSCs)
To ensure all the core SS7 network elements (STPs, MSCs, GMSCs) operate below threshold at all times
Follow up with the concerned departments for timely execution of the floated plans
Responsible for design of all STPs nationwide, design, routing and working performance (KPIs)

Working on swap of GMSC and HLR layer
Working on swap of IN as support from Core side
Generate statistics reports periodically, analyze measurements and traffic trend, and proactively plan addition/modifications to avoid congestion issues, service degradation etc.
Follow up on actions and measures taken by related teams to resolve pending issues
International SCCP carrier shifting project (from PTCL to TATA/TIS) for IR and Int SMS traffic
Design and implement the plan of addition of new vendor in STP network.
Responsible for MNP solution implementation
Work on yearly, 10-year budget plans (capex) on regular basis, as per commercial inputs
Responsible for EIR
Responsible for IR21
Responsible for the Roamware solution
Vendor performance evaluations in managing network quality
Coordinate with vendors to make sure they provide quality support
Coordination with Regulatory Authority (PTA) for implementation of new services/changes in existing services
Direct coordination with other Technical teams (IN, VAS, IP, PS) for migration/enhancement of their respective services
