Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is the largest integrated gas company serving more than 7.22 million consumers comprising Commercial, Domestic, General Industry, Fertilizer Power & Cement Sectors. SNGPL transmission system comprising over 9, 051 KM of Transmission System (Main lines & Loop lines) and Distribution system consists of 142, 998 KM of pipeline. It has expanded its activities as Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor to undertake the planning, designing and construction of pipelines, both for itself and other organizations.
Job responsibilities:
• Manage operations and maintenance at Pakistan's leading gas compression facility SNGPL AC-1X located in Bhong, Sadiqabad, Punjab, comprising a fleet of 14 Nos of OEM Solar Turbines Inc. Gas Turbines Centaur Family (T-45, T-47, and T-50), coupled with Pipeline Multistage Centrifugal compressor packages (C-30, C33 and C40).
• Manage operations and maintenance of 2.9 MW power generation system installed for gas compression facility and ancillary equipments which include Discharge Gas Cooling systems, gas scrubbers, air compressors and air filtration and evaporative cooling systems for gas turbine.
• Proficient in Solar Turbines Inc. Gas turbine and compressor packages operation and maintenance.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting of Gas turbine Turbotronic control systems TT 5.0, TT 4.0 (Allen Bradley control system) and basic programming of turbo machinery with Studio 5000 and RSLogix500.
• Troubleshooting and calibration of rotating and gas compression equipment instrumentation (Transmitters, Switches and Gauges etc.)
• Field performance evaluation of gas turbine and compressor packages using OEM Solar Turbines Inc. designed softwares: EngPerf, FieldPerf and ComPerf.
• Boroscopic inspection of Gas Turbines for health monitoring.
• Troubleshooting of Anti Surge control valve, yard valves, actuators, and positioners.
• Successfully led the execution of Gas Turbine and compressor set control system and instrumentation upgrade projects.
• Monitoring reliability and conduct Root Cause Analysis of the faults to minimize its reoccurrence.
• Lead safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
• Provide technical expertise and support to operation and maintenance field staff.
Projects and Key Accomplishments:
• 03 Million USD project of Installation and commissioning of Control system and instrumentation upgradation & package refurbishment of 05 Nos of (OEM) Solar Turbines Inc. Gas Turbine (T-47) coupled with pipeline multi stage centrifugal compressor (C-304) set packages at the gas compression facility AC1-X, Bhong. (Sep 2022 to Dec 2022)
As a project site Lead, I successfully led and managed a team of 40 skilled workers, Control Engineer and a team of Field Service Engineers of OEM Solar Turbines Inc.
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversaw the end-to-end process of designing, constructing, and commissioning high-pressure gas distribution pipelines and regulation assemblies, adhering strictly to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Developed and managed project plans including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and risk management, ensuring projects were completed within specified timelines and budget constraints.
• Conducted thorough network analysis to optimize gas distribution systems, identifying areas for improvement to reduce gas losses and ensure consistent supply.
• Acted swiftly and decisively in managing gas leakage emergencies, prioritizing consumer safety and protecting the integrity of distribution infrastructure.
• Regularly monitored project progress, providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders and making necessary adjustments to achieve annual targets.
• Negotiated with external agencies for project approvals, permits, and NOCs, demonstrating effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Upheld a commitment to excellent customer service, aligning operations with regulatory standards and company policies while maintaining a strong focus on project deliverables.
Projects and Key Accomplishments:
• Successfully led and executed multiple high-pressure gas distribution pipeline projects, ranging from 4” Dia to 12” Dia) in District Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
• Managed the replacement of aging pipeline infrastructure project of 100 Km in District Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
• 10% reduction in gas losses in FY 2018-19 compared to FY 2017-18 in Tehsil Khanpur and Liaqatpur of District, Rahim Yar Khan.
• Managed end-to-end process of designing, constructing, and commissioning high-pressure gas distribution pipelines and regulation assemblies.
• Ensured adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Developed and managed project plans, covering scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and risk management.

•Delivered HSE trainings and safety talks at various intervals of time to contractors and employees.
•Coordinated internal and external testing of waste water, lifting equipment devices and air emission for gaseous emitting equipment.
