DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prepares & manages efficiently a preventive maintenance & repair program.
•Operates the engineering department with minimal cost of but maintaining high quality standards.
•Protects the property from fire & look after other aspects of security hazards.
•Conducts regular inspections of the property to ensure that all is in order.
•Controls receipt & execution of repair orders.
•Ensures smooth operation of all utilities & services & all other electronic & electrical systems installed in the property.
•Prepares a schedule for the preventive maintenance of the fire system.
•Conducts regular fire training for intervention team members & conducts periodic fire evacuation drills in coordination with the training dept.
•Participates & supervises new projects.
•Supports the Chief Engineer in control all financial aspects of the Eng. Dept.
•Reviews & initiates purchase requests pertaining to engineering & forwards for necessary approval.
•Ensures & operates an efficient energy conservation program for the property.
•Conducts such functions as interviewing, hiring, orientation, performance appraisal, coaching, training & dismissal if necessary.
•Conducts daily briefing & comprehensive monthly meeting with the department staff.
•Maintains complete files in accordance with technical maintenance manual or manufactures data on machinery & equipment & maintains drawing file of architectural, mechanical and electrical.
• Successfully completed the general Certificate of Education A/L Examination. TRAININGS • Successfully completed a course in basic Engineering for industries at the Textile Training and services Inst, at Ratmalana, Sri Lanka • Successfully completed a Basis Management and Engineering Knowledge for Maintenance Supervisor Staff at Textile Training and services Inst. at Ratmalana Sri Lanka. • Completed a mechanical course in refrigeration & air condition at National Apprentices Board at Ratmalana, Sri Lanka. • Completed the Training programme of STEAM BOILERS
