Responsibilites and achivements: As a team lead for technical department of a small vendor company, I was involved in overall management and directing the company to evaluate, compare and choose right products for this market. Further to train and manage the technical staff was also my responsibility.
We have been successful in acquiring the latest technologies and even introducing some new technology first-time in this market.
Root Technologies clientele includes many prestigious banks, corporate enterprises and SME.

Responsibilites and achivements: I was fortunate to work in an ISP from its early days in Pakistan. (Compunet Online was 2nd ISP launched in Pakistan.) . I was responsible for continuously running and managing the operations 24 hours a day with about 20 technical staff initially. (later it expanded to three stations in three cities.) Our team was successful in keeping up-to 99% network uptime most of the months, with providing satisfactory services to clients and also providing the current reports to the management for decision making.
This overall operation also involves the scheduling the staff shifts and also managing the technical upgrades, maintenance, backups of all systems and customer support.
This also involved the administration of many Linux servers, Oracle Database servers, and some Windows servers.

I was also fortunate to work in an Airline from its very early days. (even before the operation started.) . Here I was appointed as Unix/Oracle Programmer. This proved to be a good opportunity for me to work as a team member with highly competent colleagues.
Here I was involved in developing, maintaining and upgrading various software systems required for an Airline. Here I was also responsible for Unix/Oracle installation, administration, maintenance, backup and up-gradation as required.

This was the first company I joined, this was the platform which provided me the opportunity to test and hone myself for the IT environment. Also this gave the opportunity to learn first time the Unix/Oracle environment. Here I was initially working as system operator, then promoted to programmer.
