Restructured and expanded operations of this local GE distributor of electrical distribution
equipment. Grew revenue threefold during some of the most difficult times faced by the country.

As Export General Manager, oversaw all sales & after-sales service in foreign markets for buses, trucks & superstructures made by MCV & its affiliates in Egypt.

Also managed division representing MTU AG/Detroit Diesel engines and generator sets.

CEO of this joint-venture of multinational group Air Liquide for manufacturing welding electrodes
and welding wire, as well as sales of welding & cutting machines made by Air Liquide in EU.

Managing 9 profit centers, covering sales, spare parts and service activities in southern Egypt for Mercedes-Benz trucks & buses assembled by MCV in Egypt. Territory had 4 large service centers.

Consulting Egyptian and foreign firms on business partnership opportunities in Egypt & the Middle
East, focused on telecom, energy & electrical manufacturing sectors.

Started up the business and ran it as both CEO and Sales & Marketing Manager for 12 years as
commercial agents / manufacturers’ representatives and technical services company, focused on
power systems, telecommunications & industrial automation markets. Principals included Balteau,
Focas, GE Fanuc Automation, Hathaway, Hubbell / Ohio Brass, Power Measuremsent Ltd
(PML)., Power Technologies Inc. (PTI), Rolls-Royce Industrial Power Divusion, STEAG A.G.,
Trench Electric, et al. Expanded service sales into GCC, Jordan, Syria and Iran.
