-Working on a computer application connected to a SQL database to distribute exams proctors in cooperation with the faculties registrars and to collect the exams periods for each proctor in order to pay their financial dues.
-Issuing different kinds of attestations to students (transcripts, certificates, special forms) of all academic levels (Bachelor, Diploma, Master, PHD) using various reports in Banner system and Oracle system as well as creating new customized attestations depending on students requests. (Banner system recently adopted in Beirut Arab University is an ERP student information system that stores records related to students and graduates as their personal info, registered courses, financial issues and other records).
-Preparing the students’ Affairs estimating Budget in the beginning of each academic year after collecting the required data using Banner system.
-Preparing different kinds of students’ statistics each semester and for the University Annual Report.
-Preparing and Managing University Entrance Exams in coordination with the Dean of Students’ Affairs using special reports made by IT department in the university. This job requires coordination between the admission office and the exams section as well as all faculties’ employees.
-Participating in the supervision of elective courses exams by coordinating with instructors to choose the date and time as well as the convenient rooms in which exams will be held and distribute proctors to help in exams affairs.
-Issuing Reports and Statistics for various requirements of the Units, Section and Department (number of students in a specific academic year, by level, by gender, number of graduates in 5 years…).
-Responsible of checking and responding to all emails sent to the Unit of Reports and to the section of Exams from Students, Embassies, Universities, Institutions using Microsoft outlook application and Outlook Web Access.
-Checking the authenticity of students’ documents sent by any organization students are cooperating with, as per student information system records to stamp it as true or forged copy.
-Coordinating between Unit of Reports and Management Information System (MIS) department in various duties related to the department.
-Assist and advise Students in understanding their rights and responsibilities and respond to their requests, comments and problems for solving.
-Provide technical support and help to the employees in the section by:
-identifying computer problems and advising on the solution
-making self-help documents so they can fix problems by themselves
-installing and configuring computer systems and applications
-diagnosing and solving any hardware or software faults.
