Biomass CHP Plants Process Engineering Design Works (Hoddesdon plant and FCG Ltd projects) : developing PFD’s; P&ID’s with KKS numbering system; Sketches, preparation of equipment specifications, preparation of schedules, lines list, equipment list, valves list, liaison with the client and suppliers, process design calculations; water tank sizing, flow rates, pressure drops. Project scopes and liaison with Client, suppliers and other subcontractors. HAZOP and design review. Systems: Waste to energy, RDF off loading and transferring, Gasification, Gas filtration, Steam turbine; Condenser& generator, Syngas, Flue gas analyzers.
Process engineering design works: Developing BFD’s, PFD’s and P&IDs; calculations: gas restriction orifices, gas sample transit time, gas flow through pressure regulators, ventilation and heat transfer calculations in accordance with BS IEC 61831-1999, hazardous area classification as per IGEM/SR/25 and IP15, HAZOP and G17design documentation.
•Procurements works: Compilation of bill of materials, technical queries, preparation of quotations requests and placing purchase orders and liaison with the procurement department.
•Engineering procedures: factory and site test procedures, methods of statements and hazards identification, and written scheme of examination in compilation of PSSR 2000.
•Project management: project planning, sites and meeting Client, submitting engineering solutions and coordinating site works, liaising with and issuing job pack to the manufacturing unit.

during days off of the refinery shift work:
•South Oil Company/ Alfaw Manifold and Metering Station Environmental Mitigation:
Upgrading degraded underground firefighting piping networks, hydrants and pumps, replacing halogen based fire extinguishers with foam based extinguishers for the flow tanks. Site survey and meeting the Client, site measurements, developing BFD’s, PFD’s, P&ID’s and sketches, Preparing list of materials, meeting with local subcontractors, liaison with local vendors, issuing technical queries.
•Shell/Southern Iraq Gas investment, Basra
Providing process technical support for units’ operations, supervise and monitoring units’ performance, meeting and exceeding the company’s
during days off of the refinery shift work:
•Gas Oil Separation Plants of West Qurna field &South Rumela Central: Site survey, P&
Systems
Theddelthorpe Gas Terminal Project: Participated the preparation of a primary feasibility study for the project of replacement of flare purge gas with Nitrogen: set up a HYSYS simulation model for the new system, updating P&IDs and associated mechanical schedules (line, valve lists, etc.), calculated purge gas flow rate as per API RP 521, liaison with equipment vendors, HAZOP Participation.
A team member carried out a FEED. The project included drilling four wells, upgrading existing oil and gas treatment unit consisting of gas oil separators (GOSP) and gas dehydration unit and construction of gas exporting pipeline. My main tasks were: participating submission of conceptual proposals to the Client. Set up the steady state process simulation HYSYS models complying with Client’s requirements, which involved high and low GOR well product and for a range of compositions.
Valspar coating paints production plant as built P&ID’s project: Site visit and meeting the Client, Updating P&ID’s to as built revisions, generating P&IDs for new complementary process systems.
•MSD Pharmaceutical PreLab Hydrogenator upsizing project: updating P&IDs, line lists, valve lists and equipment lists, providing technical support for other engineering disciplines and site visit.
