I am a member of the Optical Networking Engineering team with a specific
focus on delivering dedicated circuits and completing pre-assigned projects to
external customers in Ireland, UK, Europe and the United States. I
consistently meet monthly targets set by an Internal Service Delivery team
and successfully hand over completed Projects on time and crucially within
budget. I also liaise directly at Engineering level with external customers for
the final stage of circuit testing and handover.

I was responsible for the project management from design to handover of
several new WDM Next Generation Network systems around Ireland. These
were completed within stringent timeframes and under strict budgetary
control for handover to principal stakeholders within the company, namely the
IP group. In this role I was also involved in Customer projects which included
the design and implementation of systems for the likes of AIB, Central Bank,
Vodafone and Ebay.

I was actively responsible for the testing of Ericssons specific 3G mobile
network infrastructures. This involves testing ATM virtual paths/circuits from
Base station to Radio Network Controller and the execution of all other test
cases relating to Ericssons 3G/WCDMA portfolio of products.

I was the engineer on the ground for the deployment of Cienas Long Haul
DWDM Transmission system and was involved both from the
planning/inception stage to complete system handover and testing.
