Underground fiber optic cable connecting to S1, Watanya and South110 substations (total
length 27Km) - From April 2020 till present.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Tender Phase:
- Preparation of technical specifications, design drawings, technical schedules
and price schedules for the tender phase
- Checking bidders’ technical offers and preparation of comments lists,
declared / undeclared deviation list
- Participation in the bidders’ final technical evaluation
- Participation in the conference meetings with the client and bidders
Project Execution Phase:
- Design review for the technical documents submitted by the contractor such
as materials cut sheets, method statement, cable routing, shop drawings…
- Participation in the weekly meetings: discussing the work progress update,
solving the raised issues by the contractor
- Site supervision and control the quality of contractor’s works, checking work
progress, detection and correction of deviations
- Supervise local site tests with calibrated OTDR: tests conducted upon cables
arrival to site, tests conducted after installation and before splicing, and end
to end testing
O&M supervision of Naameh Power Generation Plant of 7 gas engines (Gas from
Naameh Landfill - Plant total capacity 6MW) / Lebanon - Site O&M Supervision
Engineer - From April 2019 till May 2021.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Site supervision of all maintenance activities (preventive, curative and routine
activities) performed in the power plant
- Review of contractor’s documents and monthly reports
- Contractor’s invoices certification
- Preparation and submission of EDF weekly and monthly reports to the Client
- Attending all the meetings held with the Client and the O&M Contractor
- Preparation of the final reception report and follow up the correction of the snag
list before handing the plant over to the client
- Reporting to EDF Project Manager in France
220kV Underground Transmission Lines - Client: Ministry of Electricity and Water
Lebanon - From October 2016 till August 2019:
2 Lines connecting the substations of Aramoun, Dahieh and Pins (total length
~12Km)
2 Lines connecting the substations of Mkalles, Achrafieh and Commercial (total
length ~9Km)
North Loop of Beirut consisting of 4 lines connecting the substations of Bsalim,
Chebbak, Baouchrieh and Marina (total length ~22Km)
South Loop of Beirut consisting of 3 lines connecting the substations of Jamhour,
Hazmieh and Airport (total length ~19Km)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Tender Phase:
- Line routes visit
- Preparation of the Data Collection Report
- Preparation of the feasibility study report including cable size verification
calculation using ULIS software
- Preparation of the technical specifications, design drawings, technical
schedules and price schedules
- Project Execution Phase:
- Design review and approval of contractor’s submittals, plans and schedules
- Site supervision and control of the quality of contractor’s works, checking
work progress, detection and correction of deviations
- Visual checks, verification of proposer installation, compliance to approved
documents
- Oversee HSE requirements
- Supervise site tests, startup and commissioning
- Issuance of weekly report
- Preparation of site notes
- Controlling of proper environment and working conditions
- Attendance of several meetings with the Client/Contractor
