• Lead Process Automation System and Instrumentation projects and maintain project specifications and standards to develop top-notch designs.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve design, manufacturing, procurement processes, and execute strategy of Process Automation Systems and Instrumentation.
• Conduct workshops and studies (i.e. Global Interface Manger, Constructibility, HAZOP, SIL ... etc) assessment
• Coach and guide Design Contractor by adhering to project requirements, schedule, company standards, international standards, and best practices
• Manage relationship with stakeholders (functional organizations, sponsor, PMC contractor, External entities)
• Develop Best Practices (Execution of Main Automation Contractor, Guidance on how to Select Flow Instruments, etc)
• Centralize Program Digital Transformation Strategy, and Implementation Road Map in line with Company and Kingdom Visions.
• Maximize implementation of Digital Transformation initiatives (i.e. Digital Twin (D-Twin), Digital Process Safety and Operation Management (DPSOM), Digital Advance Operations Management (DAOM), Asset Performance Management (APM), Asset Predictive Analysis (APA), Smart Site Safety Solution (4S), etc) and develop required project deliverables (i.e Scope of Work, Basis of Design, Functional Specification Design, etc ) to ensure best-in-class solutions are adopted by company.
• Lead development of Digital Twin (D-Twin) platform (AVEVA) (3D, Schedule, Cost, Safety and Maintainability and Performance), and oversee implementation of more than 18 projects that resulted with Cost Avoidance and Award by Future Digital Twin Middle East.
• Conduct and support Digital Maturity Assessment in line with 3rd party (Gartner) recommendations.
• Undertake all necessary research to keep abreast of developments in fields of digital transformation and continuous improvement to ensure that company maintains its competitive position.
• Represented Saudi Aramco in World Economic Forum initiative under International Oil & GAS Producer (IOGP) - JIP33 to develop International Standards for all Oil and Gas industries.
• Led digitalization corporate program, executed IR.4.0 initiatives and technologies, resulting major cost avoidance in engineering, projects and operations
• Collaborated in technical study of decarbonization and greenhouse gas strategy resulting in reduce carbon emissions and improve circular economy
• Discovered 12 investment opportunities related to Oil & Gas technologies
• Coached and guided International Manufacturers to set up local manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.
• Recognized as active contributor to support Saudi Aramco In-Kingdom Total Value Added (IKTVA) program and forums to increase company and kingdom cost containment effort.
• Provided engineering, maintenance and troubleshooting support to all Refineries, Gas Plants, Producing and Manufacturing operating facilities and Project Management
• Developed, maintained and updated Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, Engineering Procedures, Best Practices and. Engineering Reports
• Improved Saudi Aramco operating facilities by resolving chronic Process Control and instrumentation issues
• Conducted Technical Assessment of Local and International manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with all aspects of Product specification, healthy, safety and environmental legislation
• Managed multiple EPC contractors to successful implementation of Instrumentation and Process Control scope for Saudi Aramco - Wasit Gas Plant Project, Estimated $4.7B
• Commissioned of Process Automation Systems (DCS, ESD, DAHS, PLC, SCADA, VMS, CCS … etc)
• Supervised installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities for Process Automation Systems, instrumentation engineering packages
• Led hand over meetings within company and represented company with EPC contractor and vendors
• Maintained & complied with engineering International Standards and Codes (ASME, NACE, ISO, ASTM, ISA, IEC and etc)
• Facilitated process of project turnover such as conducting walkthroughs, identifying, and managing exception items
• Be able to determine the location of the solar panels through GPS. • Be able to track the location of the sun throughout the day. • Be able to control the angle of the solar panels so that it stays perpendicular to the sun's rays. • Be able to measure the current wind speed and act accordingly so that the solar panels don't get damaged.
