• Attend the weekly meetings and discuss the electrical issues with the contractor.
• Carry-out all site inspections for the electrical works (slab piping before slab concrete, wall piping and box fixing before walls plaster, floor piping before floor tiles, and all other electrical installation works).
• Review and check the electrical drawings submittal for approval.
• Review and check the electrical materials submittal for approval.
• Follow up with local authorities on the contractor work shop drawings approval.
• Prepare the required drawings and documents for the electrical provisional sum systems, invite suppliers to submit their offers for these systems then analyze the offers and send recommendation to client for final approval.
• Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved sample materials and equipment and report findings to project manager.
• Check that materials delivered to site are properly stored and report discrepancy to the R.E.
• Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspection made, test performed, work executed, etc. perform all work in accordance with contract administration procedures manual.
• Observe site safety practices and the progress of the work. Report any consequences to the project manager / R.E.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the project manager/ R.E.
• Accountable for checking electrical drawings, designing and managing quantities take off for electrical services
• Formulating variations for the project, handling manpower estimation and handling execution of site works for electrical services (lighting, power, telephone, CCTV, BMS, Fire Alarm, Emergency Systems, etc.)
• Liaising with Main Contractor and MEP Contractors for execution of site work.
• Review and check the electrical drawings and materials submittal for approval.
• Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved sample materials and equipment and report findings to project manager.
• Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspection made, test performed, work executed, etc. perform all work in accordance with contract administration procedures manual.
• Observe site safety practices and the progress of the work. Report any consequences to the project manager.
• Overseeing Load Schedule and formulating daily Reports.
Design Activities:
• Electrical design for projects including the related low current Systems (CCTV, Access Control, SMATV, Fire Alarm, A/V system & etc.)
• Prepare the required drawings and documents, to submit for Electrical and telecom No Objection Certificates, GSM requirements, Electrical Substation.
• Approval and obtaining electric substation trench details from DEWA.
• Prepare Electrical particular specifications and list of approved manufacturers for the projects under our design.
• Prepare and type electrical load schedules on excel format sheet for the projects under our design.
• Review the electrical B.O.Q for the projects under our design.
• Attend office meetings with the Client to address particular electrical requirements.
Site Activities:

• Managing site activities for the execution of electrical works in the project lead the team and supervise the execution.
• Preparation of all necessary documents such as inspection request.
• Coordination with Consultants & Main Contractor.
• Monitor the work progress and keep all records.
• Arranging for all inspections of the completed works.
• Prepare complete materials requirements, raise necessary requisitions and inform Purchase Dept.
• Arrange required manpower and resources to execute the site works.
• Correspond with Main contractor, Consultants & Sub contractor, etc..
• Lead the team of Foreman, Supervisor and workmen for execution of the job, supervise, and monitor progress, report to project manager for any bottle necks.
• Keep-up all targets.
• Keep record of site changes and produce “As Built” records.
• Compile and arrange operation & maintenance manuals, As Built drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintaining QA/QC at site.
• Over all design co-ordination with Consultants and Utility Engineers to meet the Client Specific requirements as per IEC/BS and Local standards.
• Preparation of Material Submittal based on the consultant specifications and contract drawings.
• Design Study with design department based on the specifications.
• Preparation of Load Schedules for DB/SMDB/MDB and Submission to consultants/Local Electrical Authorities (DEWA, ADDC, Kharamaa) Approval.
• Preparation of Voltage Drop Calculation for Cables and Submission to consultants/Local Electrical Authorities for Approval.
• Liaison with local Electrical authorities for approval of shop drawings and Load Schedules.
• Lighting Control Layout and Schematic preparation based on consultant specifications.
• Builders work coordination.
• Co-ordination with Generator Control systems for Energy Management System
• Implementation of Power Distribution (LT) and Energy Management Systems.
• Co-ordination with HVAC, Plumping and Fire Fighting Systems.
• Planning about Execution of works, Materials and Manpower.
• Co-ordination with the Clients, Consultants and Sub-contractors regarding Site execution.
• Guiding the Supervisors for site works.
• Testing and Commissioning of electrical equipments and getting approval from consultants and Handing over the final electrical equipments to the Client.
• Making of Client’s and sub-contactors bills.
• Making of As-Built drawings.
