• Main responsibilities;
• Manages and provides a comprehensive computerized engineering planning system for all engineering activities at USCO sites.
• Acts as a resident authority on all aspects of on-site engineering planning ensuring that all the latest techniques & practices are utilized.
• Plans, schedules & coordinates daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance programs to compliment production activities ensuring availability target levels are met by managing the use of internal, contract and specialist resources.
• Develops engineering management database to ensure secure historical data including work requests, completed work lists, preventative maintenance plans, budgetary control, plant availability & component failure rates.
• Promotes the use of systems across the department and ensure that personnel are adequately trained.
• Organizes planned maintenance within budgets & without unplanned disruption to production requirements.
• Implements a preventative maintenance system utilizing the latest condition monitoring technology.
• Coordinates the efficient and effective provision and deployment of resource, both internal & external to meet the department needs.
• Negotiates with suppliers and contractors on existing & future service / supply agreements, so that costs are minimized without affecting safety, quality and throughput of the plant.
