Occupational therapist servings clients with severe intellectual and physical
disabilities from 3 to 18 years old.
o Established the OT Department at ACCEL by determining and ordering the required
standardized assessment and intervention equipment to meet the needs of all students.
o Assist in the orientation and in-service training of new staff on utilizing unified evidencebased
documentation and report writing.
o Write an Individual Education Program (IEP) and design a comprehensive OT intervention
plan including classroom modifications, assistive technology recommendations, and
consultations with teachers and other therapists
o Participate in community events to increase awareness about OT roles and responsibilities
within a special education school setting.
Besides my duties as a clinical-based Occupational Therapist, I was also responsible for the
following:
o Directs and supervises the activities performed by the OTs, including developing an Evidencebased
OT training program for paediatrics OTs.
o Contributes to the evaluation of OT staff, including interviewing, hiring and evaluating.
o Determine the need for new assessments, equipment or tools.
Clinical-based Occupational Therapist (2016-2018)
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Administration of assessments including The Miller Function and Participation Scales (MFUN)
and The Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT2)
o Comprehensive report writing and Individual Therapy Plan (ITP).
o Plan comprehensive Occupational Therapy intervention
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Completing Standardized Assessments.
o Comprehensive report writing.
o Plan comprehensive OT intervention.
o Participated in raising awareness in the community about OT’s Role in pediatrics by
reaching out to public schools and developing educational booklets.
