I shifted my career to explore the world of consulting, by joining the Management and HR consulting Department. My vast experience helped me cope will with my new position.
In addition to my main expertise in Translation, I run quality checks on all deliverables, whether to clients or regulators, scanning for all types of errors and mistakes.
My role at Dimah combined between translation and Corporate Communications as follows:
Translation:
• Drafted press releases regarding the Company’s achievements and news in Arabic and translated them into English making sure to convey the message in sound English language.
• Translated the policies and procedures manuals for all departments from English into Arabic (25 manuals in total).
• Translated the Company’s annual reports from Arabic into English in a timely manner to meet the deadline of the AGM.
• Assisted in drafting, and then translated client letters and monthly reports, which include updates about their investments.
• Translated into Arabic Investment Memorandums which provide prospective clients with detailed information about investments.
• Translated into English the Company’s shareholders’ register, which is received from KCC in Arabic only.
Corporate Communications tasks:
• Supported the Head of Corporate Communication dept. in discharging the department’s duties.
• Assisted with the preparation design and production of all media and communication materials and literature.
• Provided support for Public Relations and media events as required.
• Assisted with promotional activities visiting external agencies.
• Developed and edited all press statements, public speeches, communications etc., issued in the name of the Company ensuring their accuracy and consistency with overall company image, branding principles and local etiquette, and coordinated with media and news agencies to have them published in a timely manner.
• Managed stakeholder engagement and built strategic alliances with key media stakeholders, thus ensuring the Company remains respected and valued in the market.
• Assisted in developing and managing Company events including monitoring campaign execution and managing the gift requirements and disbursements to ensure that the campaign / event is organized and implemented as per the Company’s guidelines and within the approved budget.
• Ensured preparation of reports, presentation, and other materials in a timely manner to meet the departmental requirements, policies and standards.
• Uploaded news materials to Company’s website, internet groups and social media sites.
• Updated and maintained the Corporate Communication Department's documentation and database.
• Created and maintained good relations with external agencies, vendors, and other third parties.
• Updated and maintained the Company website.
• Managed events, booking venues and ordering communication materials.
• Participated in project work where applicable.
• Translated financial statements, audit reports and related official letters from English into Arabic and vice versa, making sure to convey the message in sound English language.
• Met deadlines in translation tasks to provide clients with deliverables in a timely manner.
• Assisted non-Arab speaking colleagues understanding Arabic written materials during their normal work, by providing instant interpreting services.
• Worked on a project for translating the Central Bank of Kuwait Basel (III) Capital guidelines from English into Arabic. My role in the project was to translate some parts of the text, and to review and adjust the already translated parts of the text.
• Translated financial statements, audit reports and related official letters from English into Arabic and vice versa, making sure to convey the message in sound English language.
• Met deadlines in translation tasks to provide clients with deliverables in a timely manner.
• Assisted non-Arab speaking colleagues understanding Arabic written materials during their normal work, by providing them with instant interpreting services.
• Translated different types of documents (legal contracts, user manuals, identification documents and other types of texts) from English into Arabic and vice versa, making sure to convey the message in sound English language.
• Met deadlines in translation tasks to provide clients with deliverables in a timely manner.
• worked from home in Jordan, while the Company used to send me, via E-mail, translation tasks to do the job.

The Program was about the use of English Language in the various professional rules in the market, in addition to other lingual aspects such as Translation, Semantics, Phonetics, and other lingual studies.
