Jukwaa Expo is an exhibition agency, with main focus being on the value which the Directors’ experience, knowledge of the industry, project management and customer service, immediately adds to our clients’ next exhibitions, events or custom stand build.
Project management. Attendance at briefing sessions and meetings.
Controlling, tracking and tracing projects and processes from inception to preparation of presentation. Traffic and control of all internal aspects relating to the project. Transcribing meeting minutes from audio recordings. Procuring tenders. Completing tender documents. Procuring Orders.
Amongst the various projects I was involved in, I was the project lead for the potential Freedom Park Gallery of Leaders Museum project, although the project was never completed, due to client not being ready.
Point of liaison between the client (conference organizer), exhibitors, venue, suppliers, subcontractors, to coordinate exhibitions of various sizes and natures. Taking over signed deals from the sales team, assigning the projects to respective members of my team, so to execute the event from that point on to delivery. Run a live projects calendar and activations allocation for the company. Handling multiple projects at the same time. Travel frequently, to site for events: sometimes to run events and sometimes to oversee the teams work and handover to clients. Analyze success of previous projects and implementing ways of improvement
Conduct site visits. Attend meetings with the necessary external parties to ensure a smooth run of the coordination process of the event. Draft venue layouts (on Excel format). Do quotations for event organizers and exhibitors. Writing exhibitors’ manuals. Coordinate exhibitor stands requirements, such as furniture, electrics, audio visual, graphic prints, fabric banners, etc. Place such exhibitors’ requirements with the relevant suppliers. Travel around the country to oversee events set up, ensuring that all client’s as well as exhibitors’ expectations are met. Work closely with my line manager to constantly see how we could improve the services department standard, to ensure the company is keeping up with the industry trends and tightening competition. Assist the Marketing Manager to proofread articles before publishing, partly to try and keep up with the company’s developments and news. Take part in the Young Professionals Forum, a medium formed by the young professionals in the Exhibition & Event Association of Southern Africa. Go to quarterly meetings and workshops, discussing means and opportunities to uplift and inspire the aspiring future EXSA young professionals.
Distribute to the exhibitors, an exhibition manual compiled by the event organizer. Relaying to the operations department, the event requirements already compiled by the event organizer. Placing any additional event requirements/orders, with the relevant suppliers. Going to site for events only in the Gauteng Region.

Work closely with the inhouse operations department to ensure all organizer’s as well as exhibitors’ requirements are met. Conducting site visits. Write and distribute exhibitors’ manual. Coordinate exhibitor stands requirements. Place such exhibitors’ requirements with the relevant suppliers. Arranging venue access. Arranging travel and accommodating to events, for the crew. Travel around the country for event set up, as well as dismantle.
