• Provides technical, general supervision and administrative direction in Quality matters;

- Reports directly to the CEO/President.
- Responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer, company and regulatory requirements.
- Directly supervise all Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance activities including: Test procedures, QC Processes, QA Review, Internal QC Auditing, QC Inspection Services (raw materials, work in process, and finished products), QA Compliance Services (document control, quality assurance projects), and revising existing or establishing new procedures and methods to increase operational effectiveness.
- Oversee day-to-day QC operations including task assignments, productivity, quality issues and support the production to meet delivery schedule and quality level.
- Implement and maintain the ISO 9001 quality system to ensure the quality of the products meets customer specifications.
- Generate quality reports and maintain databases for the inspection records.
- Identify, investigate and resolve problems with parts and materials.
- Review customer contracts and company purchase order requirements. Interface with customers, vendors and source inspectors.
- Provide both leadership and training to all employees.
- Provide electronic and mechanical hardware Quality Engineering support to Engineering/Operations, with a focus in reducing cycle time and cost and improving product and performance quality.
- Support quality systems in assembly, test, inspection and engineering operations.
- Perform quality tasks such as quality system audits, product evaluations, process monitoring, supplied part problem resolution, and lead/participate in various process improvement initiatives.
- Perform Nonconforming hardware disposition, and coordinate/ensure root cause analysis and effective corrective action is implemented.
- Working knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB), Failure Review Board (FRB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), Change Control Board (CCB), First Article Inspection (FAI), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)/Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), Risk Management, and Configuration Management
- Used technical expertise to perform and analyze cost proposals, value engineering change proposals, Cost Schedule Control Systems activities, engineering management surveys, facilities requirements, pre-award surveys, work measurement system applications and the adequacy of contractor’s management systems and procedures.
- Served as technical authority, advisor, and focal point for DCM on Test & Evaluation and Spare Acquisition Support Team to provide surveillance of the contractor’s management and technical efforts to meet contractual requirements relative to major defense systems.
- Provided engineering support to buying activities and other DCM elements, such as surveillance of design, development, and production efforts; monitored engineering design, software development, production, and test efforts.
- Reviewed and validated material review of nonconforming hardware (MRB).
- Interpreted specification requirements governing the outside procurement QA program.
Coordinated QA surveillance activities by implementing an effective Product Inspection Verification and Product Discipline Evaluation program. Prepared specific guidelists containing appropriate characteristics to accomplish surveillance activities.
- Assured the establishment of necessary product verification zones and stations to effectively evaluate the contractor’s product.
- Participated in special audits and reviews. Prepared and presented formal briefings to manufacturer / contractor management personnel and government representatives delineating review strategy and results.
- Reviewed manufacturing/quality planning system, daily audits, and actual hands-on inspections of aviation avionics.
- Authorized to give first article approval authority, used to assure the manufacturer’s design, materials, manufacturing process, and quality control were collectively capable of producing items that conformed with contract specifications.
- Entered AFSC Quality Assurance Intern Training Program that consisted of formal classroom training in the procurement Quality Assurance and allied subjects.
- On the job training including Quality Assurance Reference MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-I-45208A, MIL-STD-45662, DAR 7-103.5, MIL-STD-480 & 481, MIL-STD-52779, MIL-STD-105, and MIL-STD-454, and other various military standards, regulations and controlling guides.
- Assisted in establishing and managing in-plant product Quality Assurance Program. Utilized PQA forms in documenting, requesting changes and compiling records.
