Functional activities:
• Reporting to Piping Head of Department. Leading and executing Saudi Aramco B.I’s and multiple EWO projects.
• Oversee and supervise Design Projects including managing staff members and monitoring projects to ensure they are moving forward on schedule and within budget.
• Establish and finalize together with Piping team the basis of design, Pipe material specifications and all other detail deliverables.
• Participate in Client and Design Review Meetings to determine what they want from their project and what specific design elements they may wish to incorporate.
• Review Feedback from clients, then design or alter projects to fit the client's vision, and business needs.
• Participate in man hour’s estimation for bids, technical and progress meetings, process team resourcing work distribution, inter-discipline coordination.
• Sets direction and goals for Piping Team for delivery of the projects.
• Interact with multi-discipline Engineering Teams to execute assigned task and to finalize Plot Plans, select equipment locations / major pipe route and types of pipe supports.
• Checking and reviewing all deliverables according to company procedures and Aramco standards.
• Response to client technical queries.

Design activities:
Responsible for preparation and development of engineering documents and drawings pertaining to piping according to international and Saudi Aramco standards; such as:
• Piping plans (PPL), isometrics (ISO), safety instruction sheets (SIS), hydrostatic test diagrams (HYD), valve data sheet (VDS), long-lead items, material take-off, direct charge purchase requisitions (DCPR), design basis, technical bid evaluations (TBE) & nonmaterial requirements (NMR).
• HAZOP and Value Engineering Participation.
• IFC design review.

Reporting to project manager at Shaybah site. My responsibilities cover but not limited to:
• Prepare / follow up technical quires as per site conditions. The TQ’s covers mainly Piping/civil/Electrical/Instrumentation and CP related issues.
• Follow up and expedite the issuance and placement of PO’s for Shaybah long lead items in coordination with Forecasting and Logistics Department/ Projects Procurement Department.
• Coordinate vendors’ site visit to Shaybah and ensure all related access requirements are met as per Aramco safe practices and standards.
• Follow up the issuance of design construction packages from Projects Design Department and deliver them to construction.
• Follow up with various parties to attain the land use permit “LUP” prior starting the construction.
• Review the IFC packages and identify the design and material issues prior issuing them to construction.
• Review hydrotest packages if necessary for site modification.
• Review and approve alternative piping materials as required for the site.
• Review redline packages after construction and prepare for asbuilt package.
• Finalize Shaybah backlog asbuilt packages. The Work include following up the IFC uploads, the redlines creation, the asbuilt drawing update and uploading to company drawing management system (Iplant).
• Follow up the close out of punch list items with site superintendents and routing the Mechanical Completion Certificate “MCC”.

• Prepare DCPR and MR according to Saudi Aramco established guidelines.
• Familiarity with 9COM materials and approved vendor list under each 9COM.
• Familiarity with 9CAT materials and cataloguing.
• Prepare and validate vendor information using “TBE” technical bid evaluation.
• Communicate with vendor for “TC” Technical clarifications.
• Well Established communication channel with SA buyers, FLD rep. to follow up long lead pending materials.
• Familiarity with PR’s, Purchase requisitions, and approval process.
• Following up PO’s, purchase orders, making sure the deadlines are met by the supplying vendor and making sure no issues affecting the delivery schedule.
• Coordinating between SA proponent at site and vendor for material collection.
• Evaluate materials with respect to fluid composition and pressure requirements and then finding alternative materials if any.
• General knowledge about coating materials and requirements for piping work.
• Familiarity with NACE requirements, SAMSS, SAES related to Materials specifications and selections.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, standards: ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, and ARAMCO standards.
• Review of Spare Parts Data Package (SPDP) provided by vendor according to SA established pipelines.
